Topic: EB3 to EB2 Porters ONLY Thread - Lets Track any updates !

To Tampa and all the experts,

I certainly hope that I am in the right forum looking at the thread name. I will like to know your thoughts.

I recently applied for I-140 based on future employment. I want to know how high should I have my hopes :)
I was on this companys (A) payroll when PERM was applied but they downsized my office but agreed to continue the petition. So currently I am with a different company B to maintain my status on H1. I plan to join company A again if and when EAD / GC arrives.
Can the experts share their opinions on if this is practically workable plan as everything at this point is future based.

Pete,
Any updates on your case. Did you get any issues while getting I-140 approved based on future employment. I recently applied for I-140 based on future employment. I want to know how high should I have my hopes :)

Topic: EB3 to EB2 Porters ONLY Thread - Lets Track any updates !

All,
I am a porter as well with EB3 - I-140 approved in Apr 2010. Lawyer filed for I-140 EB2 requesting for porting in March 2016. So obviously it is still under process but I'd like to get an idea of current processing time. I heard that USCIS randomly issues RFE to I-140s just to buy in more time. Also, they don't port the date with EB2 approval. One needs to contact them again to get it adjusted to older PD. So how long does it take on an average to get I-140 with older PD ported.
Any insights from folks who have been through this be helpful.

Guys,
I don't understand all the rules. So this might be a naive question. How are you'll getting AP & EAD without I140 being approved.

Topic: Deloitte EB2?

Hi,
I am in the same boat. I am in the process of getting I-140 approved with my current employer (EB2). I do have an offer from Deloitte ( not consulting but products and solutions group). So far I have been told that the filing category depends on business and is something that can't be confirmed. Also, it is something that could be initiated only after 6 months or so.
For me it is important to join the brand for the exposure and the experience but it is also important to be on correct track when it comes to GC processing for other benefits. I'd still like to stay with Deloitte after getting my GC but only because I want to and not because I have to.
I know that some of you mentioned about changing policy. Do you guys mind sharing your recent experience so that I can take an educated decision. Thanks in advance !
