Topic: H1-B transfer with Pending H1B Amendment

You are correct. Though transfer and pending amendment are two different receipt numbers and processes, there is something called 'Bridge Petition' where in USCIS will adjucate latter case depending on the former's outcome.

Since I had an extension in between (which was successfully approved), I am not sure if Bridge petition is applicable for me. That's what worries me...

Topic: H1-B transfer with Pending H1B Amendment

some additional information...

I got an extension approved with company A in Feb 2016, which means I have a valid I797 & I-94 as of today. So my guess is USCIS shouldn't be linking my transfer to my pending Amendment as I have a valid H1B status at the time of transfer application.

Timeline of activities...

Aug 2015: Company A applied for H1B amendment - Case Status Received
Feb 2016: Company A applied for H1B Extension - Case approved & new I797 & I94 issued

Apr 22 2016: Company B applied for H1B transfer (premium) - Case status Received
Apr 26 2016: Received RFE for company A's amendment.

Any thoughts?

Topic: H1-B transfer with Pending H1B Amendment

Hi All,

Need inputs/suggestions/prior experience if any for below scenario. Thanks in Advance!

I am with company A and planning to move to company B shortly. Company B has applied for H1B transfer under premium (on 4/22) and currently under processing. I have a pending amendment (case status - Received) with company A from Aug 2015. On 4/26 USCIS updated amendment status to RFE. My questions is,

Does USCIS approve company B H1B Transfer only after adjucating company A's Amendment? Or is Transfer and Amendment independent of each other?

Any suggestions or replies are highly appreciated and will easy my tension..

Yes, it will be. BLS will check if the address proof you provide matches with the address you want to be printed on the passport.
As suggested, best option is to add your spouse to lease or Get a new DL with current address.

Topic: I140 in RFE, does Infosys issues experience letter?

Infosys started issuing detailed experience letters for folks applying for GC only. Its quite a bit of process..see below

1. Send an email to us_empverification@infosys.com
2. Team will reply with attachments and steps to follow
3. One of the tasks is to get a signed and sacnnes copy of confirmation from your GC sponsor that you are requesting experience letter fot GC purposes only. Infy will provide you with the template
4. Fill out the rest of the documents with your details like name, empid, roles, dates and reporting manager details. If you reporting manager is not with infy anymore, provide details of team/tech leads and make sure atleast one of then is in Infy.
5. Fill out the experience letter template with all the details you need and send to infy team

Infy team will reach out to your manager/contact you provides for their review and approval. Once they approve, infy team will provide the experience letter on the official letter head

Few Suggestions

- if possible talk to the infy contact that you are giving them as your reporting manager so that they are aware of this coming to them. I have seen cases where managers have changed the details on experience letter or approved only few points. Infy team will provide only the approved points or for approved dates.

The whole process depends on how fast your manager approves your request. Infy team turn around was pretty quick in mycase (less than a week)

Topic: H1b amendment processing time?

Hi,

My employer filed H1 Amendment petition on Aug 17, 2015. It is still in 'Case was Received' status. Now I have moved to another project and need to file another amendment for the new location. Not sure how this is going to work, will USCIS approve my first amendment and then approves second? Or, will USCIS ignore my first amendment?

Any idea folks?

Thanks,
Harish

Topic: Regular 2016 cap RFE/Approval updates

Hi Ram646,

My RFE was responded and received by USCIS on Sep 14, 2015. It's been more than 90 days and I am also waiting for the result.

15th day of every month (Approximately) USCIS updates the processing time for all service centers. So, On Nov 17th the updates was 'as of Sep 30, 2015 USCIS was processing July 16th applications'.

On Dec 15th, update is 'As of Oct 31, 2015, USCIS is processing July 17th applications'. So, If I understand correctly USCIS has progressed only 1 day in 1 month

USCIS processing times updated today. As of Oct 31 CSC is working on applications on/before Jul 17th, 2015. CSC dates moved just one day in 30 days (Previously as of Sep 30, CSC was processing applications on/before Jul 16, 2015).

Annoyed & Disappointed...

Happy Holidays 'n' Merry Christmas folks!!

Topic: Regular 2016 cap RFE/Approval updates

It means they are working on the applications that are submitted/RFE Responsed/etc on or before Jul 16, 2015.

I see a pattern in the California processing dates. Let's see ...

As of today, Nov 17 2015

USCIS page update : Every 15th day of the month approximately
Field Office Processing date: Sep 30, 2015
Processing Timeframe: Jul 16, 2015

By Dec 15, 2015

USCIS Page update: Every 15th day of the month (assume Dec 15th)
Field Office processing date: Oct 30, 2015
Processing timeframe: Sep 1, 2015

By Jan 15, 2016

USCIS Page update: Ecery 15th Day of the month (assume Jan15, 2016)
Field office processing date: Nov 30, 2015
Processing Timeframe: Oct 15, 2015

Mine was RFE submitted/Received by Sep15 2015, So, I am expecting a decision between Dec15,2015 - Jan 15, 2016

This is all assuming USCIS is following a pattern..
