So what are the things(except IELTS that we can clear anytime) can give sufficient points for a H1B software developer
who is working in US from 6 years

Topic: UK Citizenship in 6 yrs - why is US so hard?

this is not correct ..even UK changed it immigration and PR policy..i guess after 2012 it is difficult to apply for UK PR

and you need to be on certain work permit.

Topic: No US investment until GC

looks like people supporting to buy house they think buying house is the only joy you can have with your kid and faimily
but that is not correct..this is what you think your happiness

People do a lot other than buying house..they travel a lot..may be not only in US..they buy expensive car which is their joy or their different ways to enjoy the life...NOT only with buying a house.

OP is not wrong as there is so much uncertainty with H1 B so why to take headache with big asset which not easily salable when market is down which is most likely in couple of years.

Topic: Crypto trading on H1B

to EAD2009

stock trading is not gambling at all..it is depend on individual knowledge..
the level of knowledge determine your risk...
if someone is putting money by looking at others then yes it is high risk and then people consider it is as gambling.

Topic: H.R. 392, Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act

H.R. 392 has no basis..when we have all anti immigrants bill in senate then why would someone really support H.R. 392.

it looks to me that all the anti immigrant bills are in US senate and H.R. 392 is in Indian parliament..
2 opposite bills those served totally different purpose cant pass in US senate/congress under Trump.

Topic: 41K question

to AnyMomemtNow

Sorry yes it is 401k account not the IRAs

As you said company provide you with a custodian i.e. Fidelity, Wells Fargo, JP Morgan etc so if i leave my employer and still keep the money with custodian and manage it..Is it possible?

to Viking2012

are you saying each year i can withdraw only $4,050 or less for 0 tax(to avoid 30%)...i know you have to pay 10% penality anyway

Topic: 41K question

AnyMomemtNow

i have simple IRA which started 4 year ago

another bad question.

if i plan to leave my american employer and move to India ..can i keep amount in 41K and keep managing it from India.

and can i withdraw after few years when i have no income in US...in that case i will have minimum taxable income ..lets say 36K only

anyway i am going to read link you provided.

Topic: 41K question

Thanks AceMan1

one more question so if i have taxable income 100 K and i already get credit of 6 point in every pay.
this extra income of 36K at the end of pay from 41k account did not consider any credit so i whould get this amount considering all credit

so in short i am not loosing all 40% part..so effectively it is not 40% deduction..probabily 10% penality+ approximately 20 % tax

Topic: 41K question

There is 40% deduction(30% tax and 10% penalty) if we withdraw 41k amount before age of 59.6 years.

I want to know if we get any amount back with that 40% deduction later when we file tax return?

lets say if i have 40K in 41k account then how much i can get back from 16K(40%) deduction?

Topic: Now on H4 EAD

to permH4EAD

your case is valid but you cant ignore that 90% H4EAD holders are working in grocery stores which local do not like.

with the vibes we see in US now..h4EAD will go eventually under Trump admin.

My strong belief is that if they dint care about DACA then who cares about H4EAD but it will be another achievement for trump to shout about.
