I140 is employer sponsored application and only they can raise SR. There are A$$h0le employers and yours may be one who doesn't want to raise SR. Yes it is taking 12 months now or even longer.

Topic: No jobs in Canada

After spending 20+ years in Canada moved to US.

In Canada, if you don't have a degree from Canadian University, get ready to work here:

https://www.uber.com/en-CA/drive/

Indian degree is useless.

Suggest, you guys take a trip to Canada for 10 days, talk to companies, recruiters, and friends and then decide....

Sorry folks... I spilled the beans...

Topic: USCIS Update

As previously announced, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is scheduling an in-person interview for any I-485 applicant who filed the I-485 adjustment-of-status application on or after March 6, 2017 based on an I-140. Many of these pending adjustment applications are being transferred to the USCIS National Benefits Center before the interviews are scheduled. As a result, these adjustment applicants are receiving I-797C transfer notices.

If an I-485 applicant receives a transfer notice, this typically is not a cause for concern. It is part of the process of the new interview policy and not an indication of problems with the pending I-485 application.

Conclusion
It is unclear at this time just how long the wait times will be with personal interviews scheduled for all employment-based adjustment applicants, and how this will affect the overall processing time. In the meantime, adjustment applicants should be on the lookout for any communication from the government.

Believe USCIS tried to clear up their mess until March 31, 2017 ... in 2017. They seem to be holding april concurrent filers, and approving non-concurrent I140's for Sept, Oct, Nov.

I 485 is April 15 or so... so holding April concurrent filers slows down GC process....

From USCIS perspective they are playing a perfect game... process I-140's of non concurrent filers.... and allow them to apply for I-485, which intact will be behind the "Q" of concurrent April filers....

Thus slowing down everyone... straight directive from Mr. T!!

Yes, non concurrent cases have faster I140 approval - this is what I see. But, then it makes you eligible for application to I485. Look, I have PD of mid-April 2017 and filled I140 and I485 concurrently. So, I am ahead of you on I485 line.

It's 485 that is important. So, faster I140 has no meaning on higher realm. You still have 9 months of folks ahead of you in I485 line.

:)

Green means - offices take it easy... relax
Yellow means - process 1-2 cases a month
