Topic: Restaring GC process

Hello All,

Here is my situation:
-My employer started my GC process(EB2 at NSC) in Apr-2016 and PERM approval came within 4 months time. which was perfect.
-But, now I have been waiting for I-140 approval (normal process) since more than 15 months.
- I cannot upgrade to PP as I did not receive perm approval hard copy as it was lost in mail.
- Since it is taking too long for I-140, I feel there is something wrong going on with my case, and I may take long time.

My question:
-Should I ask my current employer to restart my GC process?? and can they do that?
-Should i switch and move to new employer(which will bring me considerable sal hike) and start GC process again?
--In either of above cases, can I retain my previous priority date??

-TIA

Current Eb2 timelines are 7-10 months, so you shud expect result sometime around oct17.

EB2 timeline has not changed since Feb17 and it was stuck at 'processing cases upto 16-sept-17' since lonnnng time....so seems like be they are ashamed and altogether removed the entries from timeline.. lol......
naa, it seems like a technical glitch. they will correct it soon and display ''processing cases upto 16-sept-17'' :-)

Topic: i140 regular processing time for misplaced/lost PERM

I also filed with the lost PERM, am into 9th month of i-140 processing & still waiting.. :( Rest you can use guesswork..
However to apply for I-140, you can do that as soon you have PERM softcopy from USCIS, which shud not take much time.

its been more than a month since h1b PP suspension and it has NOT affected i140 processing in any way.
they are still taking 8+ months.. you ll be lucky if you get it in less timeframe.

Topic: Waiting time for H4 EAD ?

I have one question on H4 EAD.
After applying for H4-EAD for my wife, can she go out of US for short period of time and then come back?? will this affect her EAD in anyway??
She has a visit planned and that may fall during that time. I know she needs to be here at the time of application, but can she travel after application & before she comes back?
