1. You need 485J approval to get the 485 approval
2. Fee waived is ok, just wait for approval (next step in process)

OK, thanks for the update. I heard about 20-30 days of wait, so, looks like this is what I should expect :)

My "received date" is in November 2017. Layers told me to wait 30 days since the last action first, so, I should wait till March.

Thanks, I didn't know it is mandatory..
I had an interview on ~ Nov 27th, they started my 485j processing only a week ago.. And it looks like 5 days already passed for me because my notice date is 2/3/2018 :)

Topic: 485j processing times after an interview

Hello! I had an interview in my local office (EB2) and couple days ago I received notification with 485j case number and "Receipt Notice Fee Waived". I filled concurrent (no job change in US since h1b), but they decided to process 485j anyway.

So, my question is - how long it takes to process 485j in case of EB-2 and passed interview?
I saw 485j RFEs processing time and it is like 10-30 days, but this is a bit different.

Thank you!

Finally got an update - 485j fee waived notification (I never changed job during perm-gc processing and highlighted that), will ask layers what to do. Just in case - anybody knows how long it takes to get 485j approval?

Topic: Los Angeles Local Office Interview

My layers called USCIS (L2 officer) about a week ago and USCIS moved due date from 27 March (120 days notice from the interview) to 27th of May. 27th of May appointment should be scheduled in person with my family and my layers.

I'm planning to schedule an infopass for 27th of March (just to ping them and make sure they didn't forget about me). So you think I should rise a SR (120 days notice says I should wait till 27th of March before any actions)? Should I ask my layers first? I don't know what are benefits from this and I'm afraid they will respond like "keep waiting, no decision yet".

Thank you!

Topic: Tracking Case status after interview

There is no way you could track it anymore.

Some people get their approval on spot (wait for about 4 hours - 2 days after that).
If you are not so lucky, and you are not approved on a spot - it will take from 30 to 60 days based on what I saw. Find your office thread to see your field office stats.

Congrats!!!!

So, results:
- online status will be always the same
- 485J processes in about 41 days to get 485J notice
- GC takes about 44 calendar days from interview while they got 485J without spot approval
- looks like you had no informed delivery or USPS delivery notifications

Thanks for the updates!

Oh, thanks for the update, that means: hopefully I'll get something in next 1-2 weeks as well :)

I don't think you should be worry about your medical exam because you already passed an interview. I believe you should wait till the 485J approval (based on statistics, it will take about 1 month).
"You gave it to him" is not equal "they started processing it".. They got a lot of work + interviews, there is not a surprising thing that they gt delays. So, if I were you, I would be happy to see any progress :)

Please, keep us updated
