We do not actually know if the count for July has reached 50%. Its just approximation based on DOL published data for every quarter.

It shows that July - Sept filed cases are 25, 826 and we assume its 24,826/3 for each month in the quarter and then check the number of approved cases for July and do the percentage.

Since its just approximate and going by the processing dates. I am thinking they would start Aug by the end of this week

There are 7 cases from July 31 out of 408 processed on 11/13. So we can expect August processing to be starting soon

Awesome 608 Cases approved on 11/8. Its another day with 600+ approvals. Its been a good month so far, 3000+ approvals with just a week into this month
But its end of the year and holiday season coming up so I guess number of approvals would slow down again from nov end to Jan 2018

I can take over it. I ran the script but it doesn't get the data like you post daily with percentages and all

437 total 11/3/2017
2017-07 126 today 585 total ~ 6.80 % certified ~ 8.49 % done
2017-06 160 today 5476 total ~ 53.69 % certified ~ 67.11 % done

but I get something like this a json file. Not sure if I am missing something

{
"TOTAL": 1,
"RECORDS": 401,
"CREATE_DATE": "10\/08\/2017",
"POST_END_DATE": "11\/06\/2017",
}

awesome, is this the code you write daily? Then in that case you are not fit for either H1b or GC.

Topic: H.R. 392, Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act

Yeah, I agree with what you say about EB1C. They are useless people. But there is no system which is 100% perfect. They should be fixing that as well. But these people on Eb1c who doesn't have any skills and fit for nothing people don't know its useless even if they get GC because they don't get paid high. That is the reason top tech companies pay high salaries for skilled and talented people regardless of their immigration status.

What is the use of these people getting GC other than driving Uber, Lyft or doing some part-time and earn extra money they can't do anything. What's more important for me is I am more than happy with what I am right now even without GC and I am ready to leave anytime if required. Because I am around 27y and have around $500k investments in India and will try to invest more in coming days instead of waiting for GC. If in case something changes and every one gets GC in next 5 yrs I will try to invest my money here and plan my future otherwise its ok.

Topic: H.R. 392, Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act

I am not saying that H1 people are the only people working in tech companies and all other are not. But they at-least add value to the company also since our topic was mostly about H1b people, I am saying that there are people in companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Facebook etc doing amazing and innovative things. People like Satya Nadella, Elon Musk etc., have used some kind of visa earlier may not be h1b necessarily, but are right now in such a great position.
So this country needs such a great people to make America Great always.

Also H1b doesn't only mean India. There are people from many different countries using it, so I am saying in general most of the tech companies which I mentioned above recruit from top IVY league Univ's and they are treated the same way as others waiting in long queues. So I am guessing there should be a solution to fix this problem in coming years.

Topic: H.R. 392, Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act

hey Guys,

Just chill and enjoy your life don't think too much about future and all these bills. I am guessing everything will be solved within next few years.

1. Major companies will be the ones who would benefit from these rules. Because all they are doing is make sure employers are using H1b in a correct way by hiring the best and at the same time paying well so that they don't take jobs from Americans. The only ones who would be affected by these rules are body shop consultancies who are billing their client huge amounts and paying very less to the employees. Most of the people working with these body shop companies are not fit for getting H1b. I don't think USCIS would reject anyone's h1 without any reason. If you are genuine you will be here for the next 30 years by extending your h1 in worst case which I don't think would happen., because every parent in India who don't have their children in USA also knows that its going to take life time to get Permanent Residency here. So I don't think they will send their children to study here in USA unless they have money to spend and go back after their studies.

3. If you say that its hard for buying a house in bay area and its 1.2M which means most of the companies are willing to pay higher to the employees as there is no skill here in USA which is contradicting with what politicians and Americans say that H1B are taking away jobs from Americans. Because no company would want to recruit the employee who has good educational background pay high wages, sponsor for H1, GC, apply for H1 renewal every 3 years, pay so much money to Immigration Attorneys and all.

As long as you are skilled and genuine no matter how many such rules are implemented nothing can happen because immigrants boost economic growth by buying more houses cars, travel etc. That is the reason why Canada is inviting people to their country. If there are no immigrants and every one here has god jobs and living happily how does the economy increase because no one buys houses, cars, mobiles no international students in universities just assume how would it even be.
