Topic: EAD Lost Card Application Processing Time

USPS is horrible sign up for USPS informed delivery so that you can keep track mails/packages that are being mailed to you.
You should also change your address with USCIS when ever you move. You don't have to pay any fees as your application is based on pending I-485.

Topic: EAD AP Combo card lost by postal service

Yes USPS gave a formal letter stating that they have lost my package during sorting. You need to speak to manager of the post office and explain about your situation and they will be able to help you.

As far as I know you don't need to pay filing fees. I did not include any check.

Topic: EAD AP Combo card lost by postal service

USPS lost my EAD/AP card so they gave me a letter stating that they lost the package. I applied for replacement card along with the letter USPS and got a new card in 40 days I did not pay any fees as my EAD was based on pending 485 application. I guess you have no other option but to apply again. It's a futile exercise to wait for USCIS to respond. Apply for a new card ASAP.

Topic: How strong would my EB-1A case would be?

I can say from my personal experience that if your work is covered in form of press releases and published in online and major newspapers and does not have your name USCIS will not take it as evidence. USCIS issued me RFE even though my name was clearly mentioned as lead investigator/author in the press release. I had to get letters from President of the society, Communications director of the society and also from editor of online websites who published my work to prove that I'm lead investigator. If your name is not mentioned as lead investigator in the press release, you have very little chance to satisfy the criteria of publication in major trade publication.

It looks like USICS received your RFE response on Jan 15th and your wife got approval already. Congratulations.
USCIS received our(me and my wife) RFE response on Jan 12th and we still don't have any response from USCIS. I don't know how USCIS decides which case gets adjudicated first.

I know EB1A also covers people from business and arts too.
If you look at his RFE IO is asking about his research and scholarly credentials. I was just throwing some light on credentials needed for a researcher to get accepted in EB1A.

It's a tough RFE.
I agree with other people. If you don't have papers, citations, patents and news coverage its tough to get case accepted in EB1A.
EB1A is for people who made significant scientific contributions as evident by papers in top journals, >100 citations, Patents and press releases.
