Topic: I-140 Regular processing time - Texas service center

The information is not accurate.
Sometimes it does not move for months.

Topic: Any EB1 NOID/RFE by IO #1172 after PP?

The officer # is on the RFE/NOID letter and also on the denial letter.

The IO is from TSC and seems to primarily deal with PP cases.

Topic: Any EB1 NOID/RFE by IO #1172 after PP?

I know this IO #1172.
My friend's EB1-EA was denied by him/her.
23 peer-review articles, 250+ citations
His attorney is appealing the case and said some immigration attorneys plan to file complaints against this IO because this IO issued lots of template RFE and NOID and then general denials without reading the cover letters at all.

Get a second opinion about your case.

It is not that difficult to argue that national interest would be adversely affected if you have good record of past accomplishments. Good attorneys will be able to make strong arguments.

Topic: Advice regarding my chances for EB1-A

Sigma Xi is no good for the criterion of membership and fellowship is no good for the criterion of award. (according to my attorney)

So you are left with the criteria of authorship and contribution.
Does not seem to be a strong case.

Find a good lawyer and see if they have good advice.

Topic: EB1 EA / OR or EB2-NIW chances

same opinion here.

Good chance for NIW.
Tough one for EB1A unless you encounter a lenient IO and work with a very good lawyer.

Topic: Chances of getting the EB1-EA and EB2-NIW green card?

In that case, I would say go for EB1EA.
I was just concerned that if your citation record was poor, it might have negative impact on your EB1EA case.
Now that you have a decent number of citations and papers on very prestigious journals, I would say you definitely have a good chance with EB1EA.
My suggestion is to submit a good petition letter that follows the Kazarian case and collect more independent letters.

Definitely very good chance for NIW.
But not sure about EB1A.
What's your citation record?

Topic: Can I fire my lawyer and get my money now?

You are right.
I file EB1A.
I did not go after my previous lawyer too hard after he returned 1/3 of my money back.
After, GC is that all matters.
I still decided to retain a lawyer. I am too busy to do all the work myself.
My current lawyer writes reference letters herself so I have one less thing to worry about.
Because all the time delayed by the previous lawyer, I decided to file PP.
Hopefully, I can hear a good news after all these shit. (sorry about my language.)

Topic: Can I fire my lawyer and get my money now?

I paid him the complete amount (4,500) in advance. No, I could not let him file the case. It would be rejected for sure.

I asked my current lawyer (I finally decided to retain my friend's lawyer since she guarantees full refund if my case gets rejected) and she suggested I might be able to negotiate with my previous lawyer by "hinting" that I would report him to the Bar Association (about his incompetence). I did more than that. I told him I would report him to Cali Bar and disclosed his name on all the immigration forums. He finally consented to refund 1/3. Still not satisfied but better than getting zero back.

Topic: Can I fire my lawyer and get my money now?

I just got the petition letter he drafted (ONE month after I gave him everything).
It is terrible.
First of all, it's too short. Second, the format is weird. (I have read my friend's petition letter from that Michigan Chinese lawyer. She used a well-organized format). Third, he did not get my research at all. The idea of my research did not show well in the letter.

I was mad at my lawyer the whole time actually. He asked me to draft my own reference letter and didn't give me any idea how to do it. (and yet my friend's lawyer drafted his reference letters !!)
He returned them to me again and again.
I don't think I will have any chance to have my petition approved if he files the package now.
I really want to fire him and get my money back. Is it possible?
Has anyone done that before?
