Topic: 485 approved after creating the service request

My response below:

I was in L1A visa.

1. Yes

2. SR can be raised 90 days after the date of acceptance (485). I had my I-94 extension approved in Oct'2010. I did this to avoid be out of the country with 7 days, incase there would have been issues with my AOS.

3. Service request worked for me. I don't have any experience on infopass.

All of the above are based on my experience and each case is different. I would suggest you to extend your I-94 and wait for 90 days at a minimum prior to rasing an SR. Experts can comment!!!!!

Topic: 485 approved after creating the service request

Hi friends -

I created a service request with USCIS on 7th Dec, since my application was outside processing period for the EAD and AP.

My 485 got approved during the following week.

I received a mail regarding the acknowledgement of the SR request on 18th Dec, where it was indicated that they will review and let me know with next 30 days. If there is no response then they asked to call them back. Do you guys think that I need to do anything to close the SR or just forget it.

Appreciate your feedback.

Topic: 485 approved but I-131 RFE received today

Does welcome notice talk about 131? In my case it indicates that 765 and 131 is of no use since this is part of the Green card. So they denied 765 and 131.

For your peace of mind you can watch out for RFE notice and keep the forum informed, but the Green card will supercede.

Topic: Green Card Question

As long as you retain the same status of job you are free to change as per law. There is no such thing like 6 months or 1 year.

Topic: I too am feeling so lucky !!!!

Hi fellow trackittears -

After few anxious months I am glad to share that my journey towards getting greened has reached its logical end. Received the welcome notice via USPS mail. Hope to receive the card in next couple of weeks. I feel luckier then folks who are waiting for years. My first priority at this point is to see my parents back in India.

I wish all of you good luck.

thanks for sharing. the link indeed reflects lot of information. Since USCIS is the requesting agency will calling them help to know the status?

It's about FP only which gets cleared b/w 1 - 3 days normally. Not sure if there is any easy way to verify namecheck status but trackitt has a seperate column for this.

That is does not seem to be correct. As on 30th September they were processing May 10th. So now they should be atleast 2 month ahead if not more (July 10th or beyond). You will get more clear picture when the publish the processing timeframe as on Oct'30. This should come out mid Dec.

Topic: After FingerPrinting waiting to go Green

I created a service request today since my EAD and AP are outside processing time. Not sure if this will have any impact on AOS. I was told that a response can be expected within 5 days. Please share experience on creating SR and effects after that.

No update so far. It seems like Texas is bit slow in adjudicating 485. Current processing time for EB1 is 4.7 months. My 485 is in Acceptance and EAD, AP is in initial review status.

Seems like Nebraska is bit ahead in 485 approval process. Normally what is the timeframe one can expect after finger print or notice date to get the 485 adjudicated? Mine is filed in Texas and it is 7 weeks past FP.

Completed our FP on 10/15 and could see SLUD on 10/18 in our 485. Applied non-concurrently, but no luck so far. Its 6 weeks after finger print without any update. I checked with FBI customer service and they have indicated that the results were notified the same day. No sure what other process can take such a long time. Service centre is Texas. Bit scarred about getting an RFE or called for interview :(
