Topic: Will H1B fall under its own weight?

Lets say Trump is not able to rein in H1B and there is no immigration reform. Lot of folks will be waiting for GC for 15-20 or even more years. They will be on the wrong side of age nearing 40's-50's.

Will new low wage H1B's replace these old H1B's (might be on bit upper salary scale)? This is similar to how low wage H1B's replaced an expensive full time American employees earlier?

If it can happen with American Citizens/PR, why wont it happen with H1B's?

Topic: H1B reform is coming

Their country, their laws!

Marathis beat North Indians in Mumbai, South Indians hate Northies working in South. Many Indians wont even tolerate the presence of illegal bangladeshis.

Will Indians be fine if Nepalis and Bangladeshi work for less pay (agree some Nepali and Bangladesh may really deserve more and command high salaries)?

What moral right do we have to comment on what should be domestic policy of USA?

Topic: So what's future for HR392 or any new immigration bill ?

Let us be clear about something, GOP or Democrat will never pass something which will open the floodgates for people from specific ONE country and that too especially from Asia. PERIOD.

There are too many Indians (including me and you) vying for GC for the comfort of an establishment. We have taken most of the high paying jobs (yes, including those 65Kish too).

In fact Bernie chacha has been saying same too. He is against the outsourcing too. Funny thing is, he doesn't care when illegals take low pay jobs.

Topic: Be careful what you wish for!

Then he is going to start passing executive orders like Obama started after losing the house and senate control!

Mater of the fact is, nobody is interested in legal immigration reform.

I am not sure about what you are saying.

Based on my knowledge, if your i140 has been approved and 180 days have crossed then even if sponsoring employer withdraws i140, you will retain PD as well as use that approved i140 to renew your H1B as many times you want at any other new employers.

However new company will like to get you on their own i140 as soon as possible to avoid any hassles.

Will request other members to confirm same.
