Topic: US Consulate Visa Appointment Availability - INDIA

I am looking for dates in Kolkata for more than a month now. Don't see any dates available for consular appointment. Just two in Sep (27 and 28 ) are available. But a lot of slots is open for OFC. Did you find dates for consular appointment? Please let me know, might be helpful for me.

Topic: US Consulate Visa Appointment Availability - INDIA

To All,

I am trying to book an appointment in Feb 2017 for my wife's H4. I have been trying since last one month and checking almost everyday couple times. There is a lot of dates and slots available for OFC but no date is available for the interview. So far it always tells that "There are currently no appointments available. Please press the Back button and choose a new OFC appointment Date."

Anybody has any idea if the dates are all taken or yet to be opened? Anybody having similar situation? Appreciate if someone can suggest here. Thanks.

Topic: US Consulate Visa Appointment Availability - INDIA

Friends,

I am trying to take appointment for me (H1) and my wife (H4) together. I do qualify for drop-box but my wife doesn't. I called the customer service to cross check the eligibility for me. The representative told me that I must go for dropbox (as I am eligible) and remove my wife as a dependent from my account and schedule interview just for her separately.

I am confused if it is really a must or we both can schedule interview together if I don't want to avail the drop-box facility. Appreciate your input and advice if any of you have gone through similar situation. Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

Have a question on H1B interview appointment scheduling. I have filled DS 160 and already paid the interview fee 7 days back but still waiting for a suitable date in Feb 2017. Is there any rule that I must book the appointment within a specific time period after paying the fee? Or is it okay if I take my time, for example 1 month, until I find my suitable date? Thanks for your help.

Topic: Prevailing Wage determined higher than salary

Hi Guys,

I have some issues with my PWD case. It was applied on April 20 and per the law firm (that works for my employer), the wage was determined last week. They are saying the wages (please note the plural usage here) issued are too high, compared to my current salary. They have therefore submitted additional determinations (again, please note the plural usage here) to the DOL and I must wait for the outcome of these determinations, which will likely take another 60 days.

I am afraid, what if the new determination(s) is/are also higher than my current salary.

Questions I have:
1. Can I ask the attorney to share any tracking or reference number related to my PWD case?
2. Is it possible for me to verify the wage that was issues by DOL for me?
3. As the attorney uses the term determinations/wages, does it mean they submit in bulk and which ever is issued by DOl as lower than my current salary, is used for my case. I am not much educated about this step and process.
4. Should I talk to my employer to help me in this case?

Has anybody here had similar issue? Appreciate, if anybody can share his/her experience. Also any suggestion or advice is highly appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

@ All,

Is there way to see the result for my wage request, even if I get a case/reference number from the attorney.
