I doubt I am getting the card. Usually comes within a week if not never. Guess only option is to wait 30 days since approval and raise an SR.

Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

Hello everybody - My case status for renewal changed to New Card Ordered on 4/3 and then to Approved on 4/5. Received the approval notice on 4/10 but yet to receive the EAD card. The status is still showing as Approved. Has anyone faced a similar situation?

Topic: H1B premium processing suspended for 6 months

Here are all the issues I see us facing

a) Changing employer is almost impossible unless you are willing to risk working with a pending transfer
b) H4 EAD extension might be an issue since I doubt under normal processing the H1B/H4 and EAD get approved in 6 months or less even if you end up filing for the H1 extension right at the 6 month mark. This will lead to job discontinuation for H4 EAD as you cannot work with a pending extension
c) Reviewing drivers license in a state like TX where they do not accept receipt notices to extend. Not even sure how to get around this
d) Travelling internationally will be a risk we will need to take with a pending petition

Maybe there are more that I am missing. But this announcement sucks. Something is definitely fishy. Doesn't seem like the reason they did this the last time around.

Topic: h4 EAD, FNU in first Name

Updating on our SSN application. The SSN was issued today with First Name: No Name Given and last Name: xxxx. Basically it will be what's on the EAD. It was as if the officer who issued the SSN today had seen this before and suggested with a smile that we get the name corrected sooner rather than later.

Topic: h4 EAD, FNU in first Name

My wife has the same situation. Her Given name is xxxx (one word) and Surname is blank in passport. All her H4 visas and other documents like driver's licence has her First Name as FNU and Last Name as xxxx. We applied for her SSN to match that and she received her EAD with First Name as NO NAME GIVEN and Last Name as xxxx. We will be applying for SSN this week. Hoping that we will have no issues but I can foresee an issue in that the name does not match what's in her passport. Planning on fixing this FNU nonsense soon once and for all

Any idea how many days after the status changes to "New Card is being produced" can one expect to receive the card in the mail?

I am all for helping out as well. Is there anyway we can contact all those who have their cases on the H4 EAD tracker on trackitt? Those are the people I am sure will be willing to help. And obviously the more the merrier.

Topic: H.R. 392, Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act

You fucking dumbass delirious piece of shit, India already gets spillovers and given row is current for all categories should ideally tell your little brain that their fillings are nowhere close to the no of filings compared to India and their dependents. If we go by your logic, why is there even a backlog when we consider spillovers. It's only because there are too many Indians waiting. Not because there are a lot of non Indians and removing the cap is going to make you jump over the fucking line and get a GC. Keep dreaming.

You nitwit. Why are you going by 485 nos when ppl on backlog are still sitting with a 140.

No so easy. You never considered dependents. That's why this bill doesn't benefit anyone with Pd > 2010.

Topic: Per country cap removal.

I feel just removing country cap is not going to help much. But adding the 130k rule along with it should help. Lot of people in EB2/EB3 currently in H1 will have a tough time finding a job that pays them that much to maintain their status. Especially all the people working for body shops.

Topic: Red Zone for H1Bs if you are in these firms and 130K rule hits

Does it matter if the employer is a H1B dependent or not? Or should everyone be going through the paperwork if the employee does not earn 130k?

Thanks. So what is different if you work for an employer who is not H1B dependent?

What does H1B dependent employer mean? Is there a certain percentage of employees that the employer has on H1?

Maybe a stupid question. Say they remove the per country limits and do nothing with the visa numbers for family. Now all of a sudden you have all of us backlogged from India and China become eligible for a GC and since the family counts were never revised, does that mean that we could potentially have an issue with getting a GC for your family? Or is this specifically for family who are not immediately related like a brother/sister.
