Yes, mine amendment was upgraded to Premium on Feb 24th and was approved on March 1st. Though USCIS status is still showing Case transferred to another Jurisdiction.

Check with your employer, it seems they are not updating status regularly.

My initial date was 09/02 and converted to premium on 02/23, immediately after the mail confirming for premium conversion I received a message saying that my case for transferred to another office.

Anyone else experienced the same?

Is there a separate queue for amendment and separate for extension or there is no difference or priority?

The processing times have moved to Nov 30 and there is quite a jump in dates to Dec 7. Hopefully things will move faster now.

Hi,

Any regular approvals with received dates after March or April 2016. Is there any improvement in processing times?

Thanks

Hey guys
I want to pick your brain on something
The approval email I got from USCIS says:

Starting Validity Date: 11/04/16
Ending Validity Date: 10/16/17

Instead of:
Starting Validity Date: 03/21/16
Ending Validity Date: 10/16/17

If not then what was my work status between 03/21/2016 - 11/03/2016 since my H1b was valid till 03/20/2016?

Can someone explain this?

Nomad12,

Mine was same, the Starting validity date was from the day of approval. Is that not the case with everyone?

Topic: Story of our uncertainty

Saibuhari,

I agree with you, no one is bound to be here. We knew about the laws and processes when we came to this country. Most of us came here for an work assignment or to get a degree. Then decided to get into the queue of permanent residency and Citizenship, knowing the whole process and timelines. Not sure why should we whine now. Every country has the right to decide its laws and to whom and how many they want to grant citizenship and when. Also, what kind of resources they want to invest for that process.

At every step of the way we have a choice to decide if we want to go back to our countries; while accepting employment, deciding to give birth to our children in this country, applying for GC and Citizenship. Yet we decide to stay here.

Now saying that children are born here or employer wants us to stay here is mere excuse. If we are ready to take all this trouble to stay here, we can definitely take the trouble to go back and try to settle in our home countries.

USTravelDocs, apologies if this sounded rude, but I am really trying to understand the reason people want to stay here and then whine about it. And I agree that this country is is much better than any other for legal immigrants.

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right thread for question, but does anyone know the impact of moving certain i129 to Nebraska. VSC and CSC will stop taking these forms from 31st Aug. Will it speed up the backlog?

They are transferring I-765 to Texas, hopefully that will free up resources to move I-129 faster.

Hi rsc3c,

Congrats! your case too quite a long time. Do you know if it was due to both Amendment and extension were filed. Mine is same case and wondering if it would take longer due to that.

Have not seen any updates since last week, no approvals. Seeing more RFEs. Is it that folks are not updating here once approval is received or nothing is actually getting approved? This is very disheartening.

Hi,

Have not seen many regular approvals last week and today. Not sure what is happening, see a bunch of approvals for a week and suddenly none for few days. Very frustrating.
