Topic: Immigration Voice or Immigration Noise

Thanks for the link, the transcript does not reflect your comments: here is the extract
-----
sen. hatch: this issue may not be a headline grabber, but it's tremendously important to me in my state and i will be pushing on it. i would like to turn the h-1b visas. the department is preparing to rescind a 2015 rule allowing h-1b visa holders to obtain work authorization if the h-1b visa holder is being sponsored for green card. i have to say that the 2015 rule seem to me to be a pretty sensible policy. it's the same policy reflected in my bipartisan immigration innovation act and the republican sponsored visa act that was reported out of house judiciary to congresses ago. can you explain why dhs is planning to rescind this policy?

sec. nielsen: we would be happy to work with you on that. i think broadly we are looking at all the visa categories, which you know are numerous. unfortunately over the years in general, we gotten away with the intent of congress with the visa categories. we need to look holistically. h-1b -- i would be happy to get back to specifically -- specifically to you on what you described.

sen. hatch: evaluating ways that we can stop granting three-year extensions for h-1b holders who are being sponsored for green cards. and who are subject to lengthy delays because of her country green card limits. i believe congress previously addressed this issue in 2000 and indicated its intent to allow such extensions. can you tell me of the department is considering ways to stop granting these three-year extensions? and if so, why? i would also be interested to hear the department declaration of how ending these extensions squares with the 2000 law.

sec. nielsen: thank you, sir. i'm not familiar with the very specific example, but will get back to you immediately after the this.
sen. hatch: ok,

You are taking the first sentence in wrong context.

sen. hatch: this issue may not be a headline grabber, but it's tremendously important to me in my state and i will be pushing on it. i would like to turn the h-1b visas.

When he said the line above it was not about H1B that he was talking about. Before he turned to H1B topic he was talking about the R1 i.e. religious minister visa. He being from a Mormon majority state of Utah, R1 visa is extremely important religious issue for him.

While porting, priority date has nothing to do with skills or EB2/EB3 etc. Its just for locking your number in queue.

Topic: Moving home country after GC

If the CBP officer notices that you are coming to US just for few days to maintain your GC and don't have intention to stay permanently in US, they can deny your entry into US.

Topic: H1b exon rule comin in feb to fed register

Doubt if lawmakers would buy the idea of selling green cards for $1000 or for that matter even $5K a piece. There is already an category where GC can be bought with million $ investment which is called EB5.

Topic: H1b AC21 Cancellation: Trump's Nuclear option

Murthy is an idiot. She claims credit for changing USCIS position on denying AP while on travel abroad and USCIS is still denying those APs who travel when application is pending even though current AP is valid. So her knowledge and claims are not worth a penny.

seems little risky in that situation. You cannot lie to CBP officer if he encounters you on employer name.

Not correct. 3+2 + 5 years experience also counts as EB2.

USCIS doesn't care if your passport is current or expired.

keep checking his tweets, he said he'll update the latest (verdict I suppose) in 90 minutes and any questions related to it. And since he doesn't sound that excited it's hardly any guess....

If Greg wins TRO, IV forum would be ghost town, with just couple of useless admins posting non sense stuff. They have already lost their credibility and after TRO win, IV would be dead as a doornail. My guess is Greg is smart enough to fill in the void in post IV era and will be EB community's unquestioned leader in their fight for justice.

Topic: Where's the media coverage???

Main stream media coverage is not good for the cause. In no time media will turn this into how Obama's Executive actions are putting Americans out of work and foreigners taking the jobs their favorite hot button topic. Current political climate in country is totally against any kind of immigration.

Topic: THANK YOU Greg

Look how the spineless idiot folks from IV are talking about Greg on their forum:

hil3182:
We are happy with Greg filing suit and wish him well. We didn't think he had the stomach to actually do it, but are happy that he went through with it.

Greg took a giant step in support of Indian EB community by filing this huge CLA by spending huge amount of funds from his own pockets (unlike IV who pick pockets its members under name of donation to fill their own pockets). I am sure USCIS is ready with big garbage containers to redirect IVs flowers.

Topic: Basis of reversal or lawsuit

I see lot of threads popping up from IV's infiltrators (who actually bash this website all the time on IV forums) & Siskind supporters asking to fill up his form to prepare for lawsuit. But what no one is convincingly telling is on what basis would Uscis or DOS budge and revert to old bulletin? As the other lawyer OH said this time its not like 2007 when they changed the bulletin in current month, meaning they did not made changes for oct bulletin in month when people had already submitted the applications. So the concerned agencies are full within their right to change it before the month starts. As far as attorney or other expenses are concerned, nowhere these agencies advice or make mandatory to use attorney services for filing the application. So the court case based on expense has zero standing. White house has already given the gift of pre filing 485. What should be the cutoff dates is totally up to dos/uscis. So since WH has already done one big favor on Indian EB community they would be in no mood of helping anymore. Putting up with what is given is the only realistic option.
sending flowers is the stupidest idea and it can only sprout from idiots of IV's arrogant forum moderators. It is waste of money and would end up either in garbage cans at their offices or just like last time they would redirect it to some hospital.
