Urghhhh the wait is driving me insane. On the good side of things, I should get my EAD/AP in the mail today. Finally free of OPT and the travel restrictions that go along an expired F1 visa

Same as you. I don't think Supp J is trackable.

I actually didn't know it was something that was approvable of its own, just thought it was one more piece of info in the I485 application.

Also if you were interviewed in NYC, do you know the name of your interviewing officer (should be on that paper they gave us saying they're still reviewing)

Topic: NYC interview

Hi All -

Sorry I haven't been able to post my experience before today. But here it goes:

I was scheduled for 8:15 on Monday the 11th of December, and I got to Federal Plaza at 7:30. Went through the checkpoint (TSA style) in about 5 mins, then showed my notice to the security guard inside and took the elevator to the 7th floor.

There I checked in and got comfortable ... I wasn't called in until 9:45. They have a TV with the news on, and it was the day of the Port Authority Term failed bombing, so I got up to date on that whilst waiting and stressing.

The interview started out on a rocky note, as the officer seemed annoyed my attorney wasn't with me. He made me sign a form saying it was OK for me to speak to him w/o the attorney present, and we got started.

The questions were pretty basic, though there were a few misunderstanding throughout the interview, that I believe got corrected. For instance he asked me what the requirements were for the job, and I told him what the requirements were on the ad. What he was really asking me was what requirement did I fit (many majors were listed as possible majors for my job, I only fitted in one of the many majors listed, but went on reciting the whole list).

I handed him the original birth certificate, he did not keep it. Handed him the Supp J and a letter saying I was still employed / my prospect for future employment with the company were excellent, and he kept those.

He asked if I had any other papers for him, so I told him all I had brought (bank statements, taxes, paystubs etc...) but he wasn't interested in any of those.

I left at around 10:20.

About 2 weeks after the interview, I got excited receiving a letter from NBC, but it was only a letter saying the received my Supp J.

As of today, Jan 3rd, I still do not have my green card or my approval for it, but I did receive approval for EAD/AP and the card is in NY ... hasn't moved from the USPS center for 5 day though.

If you guys have questions, feel free.

PS: I do not have any dependent, it's just me :)

Topic: 1 month since interview, no updates

Hey, who was your interviewing officer? I had a similar experience where I feel like the interview went ok but the guy was not all that nice and it seemed like he was trying to get me with each question.

Had my interview at federal plaza on Dec 11 and I just received a letter saying they received my I485J ... which I brought at my interview.

I'm in the same boat. Got that answer yesterday, but I really hope we get to hear back much sooner than 60 days.

Hello, I have my interview in NYC next month. Just wondering if you could answer a few questions:
- What paper did you bring with you
- Did you get a 551 stamp right there and then or did you just wait to get the GC in the mail?

Topic: September 2017 transfer from TSC to NBC

I got a letter from NBC last month saying "you did not submit Supp J, please do NOT send it to the office but bring it to your interview when you get a date". So I think I will have to have Supp J. EB3 is based on a job offer so Supp J should apply

Good news guys, finally got my interview letter. The status online changed last night at 6pm EST. Today, I can see through informed delivery that I have a letter from NBC.

On a slightly negative note - still no news from my EAD/AP

I feel you, I'm in the same boat. I raised and SR on 10/24, it was answered today (10/30) and the answer is the generic: 'Your case is in line'.

I think SRs are pretty much useless, but they will not hurt your case so you may as well give it a try.

All the best to you, hope we both get AP soooooon

Topic: I485 - Case Was Transferred to NBC

Sadly the letter was simply to say they do not have my Sup J (which I guess my lawyers didn’t send for some weird reason). Despite not having sup J, they asked me not to send it to them ... I’m a bit confused as to what the point of this letter was. Disappointed not to get an interview date though

Topic: I485 - Case Was Transferred to NBC

My case was transferred to NBC last month. Now USPS Informed Delivery is showing a letter from USCIS NBC Center in my mail for today. Could that be the interview notice, or does the interview notice come from your field office?

Thank you guys

I have no idea. I think it must depend on how busy your local field office is. Which in NYC i would assume it must be absolutely manic. I'm worried this will take ages to get scheduled.

I don't think I can, it's been only 71 days. Is it at day #76 that you can raise an SR for EAD/AP?

Interesting. Mine was going very fast so far,
Received on Aug 4th,
Fingerprint done on Sept 1st,
transfered on Sept 20

Sadly I feel like it's going to slow down a lot now. Especially since my field office is NYC.

My transfer notice was the standard template for a TSC ---> NBC (something about speeding up processing I think). No interview or anything since then. Not even a notice from NBC telling me they have my case.

My EAD/AP app is still showing as 'case was received' and i don't believe those have been transferred out of TSC.
