I have filed my I140 on March and waiting its decision. I am planing to file I485 within couple of weeks (may take 2 weeks) while my I140 is pending? Is it ok or is there any deadline due to new bulletin? Any body have idea

I filed my I140 through lawyer on March first week. My I140 is pending, I want to file I485 with pending I140 myself (without lawyer, to save money ;)) . Can anybody help me is this good idea and exact list of documents to submit?
