If you can find its name on this link, yes it is. Not all companies register in E-verify systems. You have to make sure they already registered. Registering takes at least 2 weeks.

How long does it take to implement a system like merit-based system after being signed by a president?

I think this link helps you. It does not seem that Indians waiting for GC (both categories) is more than 350k but you are better to look at the link. (I am not Indian)

Exactly, Even Americans are always angry at Indians, not anybody else. Just look at the anti H1B groups. They always talk about indians and say that Indians stole their jobs because most of the HRs are Indians.

I think that it is a little late for fighting against HR392. Their lobbying work very well. They made a rumor about AC21 and now everybody wants to give them GC and forget who was abusing the H1B system.

It seems that you know more than others. What is the solution for the backlog if HR392 is not passed. I actually will be affected a lot if the country cap is removed.

Do you know my story? One thing I can tell you, I have not seen my family for 7 years. It seems that your lobbying work. Be happy with your GC.

Just look at this site:
https://www.permchecker.com/2017

Would you please someone tell me why India has 42884 out of 78688 of the approved perm in 2017? Is India's population is about 0.54 of the world? So funny.

That is completely true. It is not fair this kind of backlog. But when someone with a bachelor degree and 65k salary applies EB3 or after 5 years experience even with the same salary apply for EB2, this backlog is created. Why China's EB3 is 2015 but India is 2006? (If I am saying correctly) I also know that my Indian friend whose PD is 2013 would be happy if raise act passed. But with HR392 or other bills which remove the country cap and make the same backlog for the rest of the world, nothing is going to be solved.

We all agree to the raise_act or any merit_based bills to be passed (a system like Canada or Australia). In this situation, the country cap is not needed at all. And I am 100% sure, the educated Indians are OK with it. But right now, someone with a bachelor degree can apply for GC. With the raise_act, they are not eligible.....

Instead of arguing with this guy, I suggest you to call your representative and congressman. Also, It is a good idea to let someone like Tom Cotton knowing about this bribery.

No, They can implement merit_based next year. But because you do not get a good score, you would say it will take time.

They should fix H1b first (This is what American want), then after 5, 10 years, you can talk about removing GC quota.

We should send a message on Twitter to someone like Stephan Miller, Tom Cotton, and whoever supporting raise act. At least raise act is based on some merits.

My friend with Ph.D. degree and salary around 120k was not selected because X applied from India with 65K and bachelor's degree applied through several applications.
