Topic: Only spouse got interview notice (but not the prim. applicant)

So another update on my end: Finally interview notice for both myself and wife. Same date but once hour apart. I guess we try to attend together.

Topic: September 2017 transfer from TSC to NBC

Hi,

I have seen many cases who got the approval and online case change a long while after having actual green card in hand! So no worries. How was the interview experience? Can you share details? Any NIW specific questions?

The exact same thing happened to me. Next expect notice for interview depending on your local office. This should take about 1-2 months. In the upcoming notice you'll be notified about the actual interview date which is another 5 weeks. Don't worry you're on the right track.

Guys, my interview was cancelled but again was scheduled for Feb 8th. And again it's only for me and not my dependent. S I guess we'll get there together and hope for the best.

Topic: NBC to Boston Local Office

Hi,

My interview was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances"! Such a bummer. But again my online status has changed to interview is scheduled for Feb 8th. I have to yet receive the notice. How about others; any interview experience in Boston?

Don't worry. This happened to me too. I've got my notice in only a week. It's annoying but hang in there.

Topic: I-485 timeline after interview descheduled...

My appointment was also cancelled just days before interview and they called my attorney before me to inform her about that. I was also in doubt to show up or not but just one day before interview I received a notice hat due to "unforeseen circumstances" my interview is canceled and they will reschedule for a later time (which they dd not provide). So, be prepared to be informed that your interview is actually cancelled but hopefully in your case they just need your supp j and maybe they let you in. Have you heard other peoples interview become reschedule? What's the time line for the next interview? Any data set?

Topic: Supp J for NIW

My attorney told me that if petitioner is the employer and you change job you don't need to resubmit I-140 but you need I-485J for NIW. Maybe that's the reason behind the confusion? Any thoughts?

Topic: EB2-NIW Nebraska (any receipt date)

Thanks! That was informative. Do you happen to know what happens if I lose the job whole waiting? Let's say it's more than 180 since RD. I've heard you can have status for 180 days while you're waiting to apply for a new job.

Thanks. So does this lock the employee to company?

Topic: EB2-NIW Nebraska (any receipt date)

Hi natan,

Thanks for your response. So I see employer's name on petition as "petitioner" and was wondering what does that mean. So, yes they helped with the process and paid legal fees. But what if the employee wants to (or has to) change job before I-485 approval? Is there any catch if NIW is petitioned by employer?

Topic: NIW with employer as petitioner (and losing job)

Hi and thanks for the response. Just a clarification: when you say "EB2-NIW there is no need for supplement J because it is a self-petition", what if it was petitioned by a company? I don't understand the difference between NIW petitioned by a company or by the applicant.

Hi guys, whats the difference between NIW case whose petitioner is the company and the one that is self-petitioned? I'm very confused about the differences...

Topic: NIW with employer as petitioner (and losing job)

Hi trackitt gurus,

A question and appreciate any thoughts: Let's say a person has an approved NIW and currently has a pending AOS. The petitioner, however, is the company (even though NIW can be self-petiotioned). Now what happens if the person loses the job/quits? My understanding is for EB2 (not NIW type), you may port by using AC21 once you find a new job. Also, if 180 days has passed since RD of I-485 you can be looking for job for six month and not be out of status. But what are the regulations for NIW whose petitioner is the employer? Again, what is the difference if petitioner is not the applicant in case of NIW? A lawyer told us that in this case, you may find another relevant job and the new company needs to file 485-j. Isn't it just like regular EB-2? Of course, I-140 does not need to be file again, but what if the employer for NIW revokes it? Many thanks for advice.

Topic: I485 - Case Was Transferred to NBC

Folks, anyone whose case has been rescheduled here? My attorney got an unexpected call today and was informed my appointment for interview is cancelled so they will reschedule it for a later time (no time was given at this point). My case was transferred from TSC to NBC but when I call them by phone the automated voice tells me it's in Vermont! I even had my notice for interview but now it's worthless.

Guys please let's keep ourselves posted about the time that takes for re-scheduling. Hopefully it's not a long wait. Such a bummer close to new year :(

Hi, sorry to hear your story. I have to say same thing happened to me with a bit if difference. In my case primary (myself) got the interview and the secondary did not. Today USCIS called may attorney that my interview is also cancelled and should be rescheduled. So difference is they did not let me go there anyway. I'm not saying the reason is the same but just noticing this type of rescheduling specially when you have spouse without notice is likely to happen.

Topic: September 2017 transfer from TSC to NBC

Guys,

I have a question; has anyone experienced cancellation of interview? Mine was cancelled today only few days before the interview as NBC said they were not able to send my case in time to the local office and they are still processing the case. So they will reschedule it for a later time although they did not give any specific date.
