Topic: Sample Affidavit Birth Certificate format for filing I-485

Don't send documents where your name is incorrect.
I submitted one affidavit from my father and one Bachelor degree certificate which reflects mt DoB. My 485 got approved.

Topic: Multiple AP - which to use ?

If I were you and you have valid H1B visa, I would enter country on H1B.
Otherwise use AP from GC.
If you are still in H1B (eventhough you have valid TPS), your TPS was in Idle state in background. If you enter country in H1B or GC AP, your TPS is not abandoned. Also you will get your GC soon and no need of TPS anymore.

Topic: USCIS Site Visit to H1B is Frequent

Its a fortune 500 company based in Seattle. They are visiting for Full time and contractors both.
They mostly ask about job duties,position, salary, work condition, etc.
They will later ask you to send paychecks, w2, etc

Topic: Transit Visa in Toronto

Most people who travel through Canada need a visitor visa, a transit visa, or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA).

What you need depends on:

the type of travel document you will travel with;
the country that issued your travel document;
your nationality; and
how you will travel to Canada.

If you don't have US PR, you will most likely need transit visa. BTW, its free of cost.

Topic: Travelling in Canada with valid I 797

If F1 can do it then L1 can do it as well. all you need is valid i797.

Before I travelled to Canada, I sent an email to CBP. I am including my question and their response here. Hopefully this helps:

Q: I came to US in F1 Visa and I changed my status inside US to H1 Visa. But my F1 visa has expired and I haven't done stamping for H1. Can I travel to Canada and come back to US within 30 days with my current H1 status and expired F1 visa.

A: Thank you for contacting the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) INFO Center.
Yes, you are able to do this but only for visits to Canada or Mexico for a period of time less than 30 days. You will need to have your current I-94, I-797 petition, expired visa, and current passport to reenter.

Topic: Travelling in Canada with valid I 797

I entered US twice from Canada with my expired F1 VISA and vaild I797 (never done H1B stamping).
As long travel is less than 30 days, you don't need valid visa to enter US from Canada and Mexico. In my case I94 was expired and they gave me new I94 at POE.

Yes you can file with i 140 receipt as long as visa bulletin is current.

Dude why don't you use lawyer. With the type of questions you are asking, you are most likely to mess up the application !!

Topic: 5.5k GC wasted over last 2 years,not one Attorney speaks up

I understand your frustration but make sure you argue with some valid points. I had a Indian co-worker who said he bought his Bachelor's degree certificate in India and came to US for Masters and he was proud of it. That doesn't mean I would blame all Indians who do the same. I have very smart Indian friends who graduated from Ivy league schools too. I have lot of respect from them.
Looks like you are hanging out with wrong crowd. Good luck with your Immigration processes and wish you all the best. I don't want to argue on this stupid topic anymore.
