Topic: H1b amendment processing time?
looks like CSC is at least 2 months ahead of VSC in terms of h1b amendment processing time. That's a lot of difference. I wonder if winter has anything to do with it. |

Topic: November 2015 PERM cases
just got an alert from PermChecker that my application is certified. PD 11/19/2015
Are there any other places I can check for the status other than the Permchecker.com? Just want to make sure that I didn't get somebody else's message :) |

Topic: I94 - Admit until date
Hello, I've traveled out of the country in Feb 2014 and when combing back, my new I94 has the Admit Until Date of "05/01/2016". Since then I moved to a different company and applied for a fresh H1b application (previous one was a non-profit h1b). The new h1b is valid until 09/01/2017. My question is, do I need to apply for a new i94 since my current one is only valid until May? Or is it OK since I have a valid work visa status? |

Any latest updates from Vermont Service Center? USCIS site shows that they are processing July 6th applications. That's almost 2 months behind California service center (Aug 28, 2015). Is it normal to have that much of difference between the two service centers? |

Topic: Transfer from non-profit H1b to for-profit H1b visa
Hi, I'm currently in US with a non-profit H1b visa and working for non-for-profit company. I got a new job opportunity at a for-profit company and they have applied for a new H1b visa in April. It was picked in the lottery and is approved. On labor filing, the new employer has mentioned the start date 10/01/2014.
This new company is in a different city from where I'm staying right now and I really want to stay where I'm right now until Jan'15 at least and move to the new company after that. I've discussed with the HR manager at the new employer and they were willing to accept my request to defer the start date of employment.
But I've heard from some of my friends that the employer cannot delay the employment more than 60 days from the date on labor application. They referred me to this page. http://www.dol.gov/whd/regs/compliance/FactShee...
Can you guys please confirm if this is true? Is there no way I can continue employment at my current non-profit company for 3-4 months and then move to another company? |
