Topic: H.R. 392, Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act

Rep. Yoder - "..For example, there is a mother right now in Greenland, whose unborn child will be able to grow up, go to school, graduate college, and come to America 30 years from now and that person will get their green card sooner than someone from India who is already here in America, working hard, paying taxes, and contributing to our economy. That is simply unfair."

I understand your point, and we also need to understand that RAISE act will never pass without amendments (if it ever does) and I am sure people who have been waiting for so long will be given credit.

btw i was talking ab other platform - mindchat dot io - if u want we can set up a time and live chat there. posting here is good but when u need discussion i think sometimes having live chat is helpful

You can easily see if you qualify under RAISE act at (Also keep in mind if it ever becomes a law it will go through lot of amendments )

Trump tweet:

"The terrorist came into our country through what is called the "Diversity Visa Lottery Program," a Chuck Schumer beauty. I want merit based."

Anyone thinks this thing could work against the whole "diversity" narrative, and help in hr 392 in anyway.

Thinking about - the Gang of Eight bill that passed the Senate by a big margin in 2013. The bill would have moved the diversity visas elsewhere and introduced a merit system considering factors like family and work skills.

Thoughts?

The per-country limits on employment-based green cards are neither fair nor good for our country. (Someone shared this at mindchat.io) Read full article at:
