In DHS site, it says, On April 16th, We Received Your Case (Hope this is receipt by TSC due to retrogress)
In old status site, On April 5th, it says Interview Completed and Case Must Be Reviewed

Yes, Interviews will be conducted as usual during retrogression, this is what my attorney told and I'm seeing that's happening.

You mean his Sup J approved and no updates to I-485? and he is also from EB1 and interview done after retrogress effective?
if all these are matches, then I hope I should also get good news soon.

Does anyone has any idea what this means?

In the new DHS status site, there was an update yesterday for my I-485 Sup J case stating that we approved your case, but the same update was not mentioned for actual I-485 case, below are the statuses as of today. FYI., I have attended interview on 4th April.

I-485 – Sup J = On April 5th 2018, We approved your case
I-485 = On April 4th 2018, You attended your interview and we are reviewing your case

Does this mean they approved my green card? I don't think so because of EB1-India retrogress.

Yes I did asked officer about my medicals and he advised me to wait for RFE as mine is an edge case for dates, so he indicated it might not be required. Also, I checked with my attorney and he also advised the same. So, I'm hoping it will be adjudicated without asking for new medicals, else respond to RFE if that's the case.

Today we have completed our AOS interview at Dallas field office. Here is my experience.

We reached there by 8:30am as first appointment was at 8:45am. After security check, asked to check-in at 2nd floor.
Waited there for about 40 min and officer called my name and it invited my wife & son along with me for interview together. He walked us to his room.

Took oath and started asking questions/documents.

Below are some of them which I remember.

How many years I’m working for my current employer (India & US)
After transferring to US are they paid Indian Rupees or USD
After transferring to US have you ever worked outside US
Client name at the time of filing my AOS?
How many other clients worked/working since filing AOS and their names
Roles & responsibilities back in India and what was my title?
How many employees I have supervised?
How many employees currently supervising?
Asked every individual names & their titles currently I’m managing in my current project?
What kind of managerial responsibilities / decision making will be doing on day to day basis
Stressed lot on hiring/firing/salary increases/decreases decision making for my direct reports
Current employer address & my residence address
Asked about any other pay apart from regular salary
Asked about port of entry dates/places
And some personal details like place of birth, DOB, wedding place/birth, parent names and some school details to my kid and some video games discussion with my kid
Went through each and every Yes/No questions from I-485 forms
Almost all details verified in the I-485 by asking correct or not
Documents verified – Employment Verification Letter, Pay Stubs, W2s, Tax Returns, Birth Certificate proofs (for all three of us), Passport (for all three of us), DL (me & wife), All previous approval letters of H1-B (for all three of us), EAD (for all three of us)

Finally he said about EB1 retrogress and was told that due to visa unavailability, will send your file back to TSC in couple days and when the category becomes current, case will be picked up for decision making. Also, he handed over an interview results letter. He also indicated that this may likely happen in October-2018 and if required may ask for new medicals.

Also, all of my answers for employment related, he made a notes on his computer and took a print out and asked me to sign where all my current team names/titles mentioned along with all other bunch of Q&A as mentioned above.

Overall, interview went well. He took one full hour for our interview (9:10am to 10:10am). Office was very nice & friendly and at the same time he focused what he supposed to do in the interview and not deviating from the Q&A. Looks like he is very much trained for employment based interviews.

So, I kept my fingers crossed and waiting game will continue....

Usually Supplement J will be submitted along with I-485 application and it is required for EB1 too. if not already submitted then get that from your employer/attorney before your interview.

Yes, interviews will be scheduled normally during retro period because today I have received interview notices for interview on 4th April, which is after retro start date. Also, attorney confirmed the same.
