Topic: H.R. 392, Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act

Gone are the days, when having H1 was a privilege.
50% of jobs clearly mention "Not Sponsoring as Visa, so candidates on visas need not apply". Rest 50% mention that, but still filter based on your status.
This is 5th time this year, I am denied an offer because I have a H1 (although I140 approved), they prefer someone with EAD, GC or Citizenship. This is so not good. Definitely feel stuck, because if you are here from last 10years you definitely will be married and have kids, and hesitant to relocate. In such scenario you find jobs locally with references. Got a NO from HR yesterday only even after clearing all initial interviews because you are on H1. They want me to join via TP. Consulting is Open, but there is high rate of Visa extension rejection for small consultants.
Things are really hostile.
High time to unite and put pressure like DACA folks are doing.

Don't waste Money, the regular processing is faster, I got mine approved in 22 days, my company filed few in premium, and they got approved in ~30 days.
But if you have urgency, you can go for it.
