Topic: H.R. 392, Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act

With an IQ and attitude like that lady no wonder why employers don't want to hire people like that. She says H-1B's can't change job but I have changed 3 jobs and my salary has doubled in last 6 years. Do you still call me cheap labor and lacking self esteem?. If 200k/annum is cheap then don't know what is not cheap?.

Topic: Democrat are not to solve our problem

Employment based GC is true merit based and only thing which is stopping it from becoming perfect is country cap. If you believe Canadian and Australian points based system is a merit based, you are absolutely wrong. I got Australian PR based on this so called Merit and I gave up that PR as there is no Semiconductor Industry in Australia. People who get Aussie PR either after studying or directly from India struggle to get job there. If it's difficult to get a job in your field, then what is the use of merit?. In 2005, Aussie government added cooking to in demand occupation list and the same year I saw hordes of guys from Punjab joining TAFES in Australia and enrolling in Diploma in cooking classes. I personally know atleast 2 guys who got PR after doing Diploma in cooking and started driving taxis immediately after that. Who genuinely want to do diploma in cooking spending thousands of $$$?. Do you call this merit?. If so why no Indian has moved to the top of the corporate ladder. In US, we see so many Indians in management and founding startups. EB is the true merit based as you already have job.

True, I was watching Tucker Carlson show on Fox news last week and indeed he brought this up. He talked about Indian kids doing good in science competition and why can't asked we increase immigration from countries like India?.

Topic: What is the Feb 8th date all about?

Once you have approved I-140, you have expressed immigrant intent and USCIS has approved that. Only thing which prevents you from adjusting your status as an immigrant and become permanent resident is your place of birth. If USCIS has accepted your immigrant petition, who are you to certify that somebody is not an immigrant?.

Topic: Immigration Reform is coming soon

What community are you talking about? Santuary cities?. America is what is it today because of it's technological edge. If it loses that edge nobody will respect America. Why do you want to bring your parents and siblings to America? Just to depend on social services and becoming burden to the country?. If you are advocating that then you are a freeloader and a burden to this country as well as the peanut taxes you pay won't cover the expense of the chain migration you plan to implement in the name of the family. You don't have interest of this nation in your mind and is actually an enemy of this country. Much useless than that temporary non-immigrant visa holder.

You have to look at what is beneficial to this country. America is not a charitable trust for your family to bring in your old parents or siblings. If you love them so much take a vacation and go and see them or bring them here on a visitor visa. It's as simple as that. I don't see giving citizenship/GC to parents/siblings of both legal/illegal is helpful to America in anyway.

Bringing in people just because of family ties without any regards to their skills or education and how they can be beneficial to the country except being a vote bank of some party is an insult to people who went to college, worked hard, follow every immigration rules in this country.

That was good 20 years ago. One has to move on with time and adapt with times. This immigration policy is stuck in 1960's and it's time to change. Trump is reasonable with his four pillars on immigration and any reasonable person can make it that it is good for the country. Take only nuclear family i.e wife and kids. Just because your kid is born in US shouldn't qualify undocumented immigrant to get sponsorship from their kids. That is absurd.

You beautifully explained chain migration here. How does bringing your parents and brothers and sisters and then their husbands and wifes and then those husbands bring their brothers and sisters and parents. How does it help America?.

Wtf are you talking?. I came here because I got a high paying job here. I didnt ask my employer to file my Greencard. My employer filed Greencard without me asking them to file. These per country cap is an archiac law designed for older times. If there can be country cap on EB catgories why cant there be country cap on Olympic medals. USA wins 50 gold medals. According to democrat logic, there should be diversity and it should be capped at 7% and USA should not win more than 5 medals eve through it has better sportsperson. Your loser mind needs that protection from democrats. This is much worse than caste based reservations in India.

Topic: Merit Based Immigration

I agree 100% with you. In-fact I got Australian PR in 2005 because of the so called points based system. I returned to India and gave up Aus PR as it was useless from my career point of view. No tech jobs there and the new immigrants has to struggle for months and sometimes years and do odd jobs to survive. Australian economy is not like US economy which is based on innovation and tech. You don't see the startups taking risk doing R&D and building new things like in Silicon Valley in either Australia or Canada. Employment based GC is the best merit based Greencard as your employer has filed your Greencard as you have already proved your worth. You have English language skills to carry out your job, you have cleared the interviews and performing your job and thereby contributing to your employer and the country. Since almost all EB GC's most have jobs here, they don't have to struggle initially to establish themselves and becoming burden on the country. There may be some consultancies filing GC's on undeserving candidates but still it's way better than the so called Australian Points based system.

These so called DREAMERS are so much spoiled because of Democrats support. These guys are illegal aliens in this country and look at the fourth or fifth column from the bottom. The illegals says it is ridiculous to wait 12 years for Citizenship but some of us legals have to wait decades and also have kids we brought here and if nothing changes they will be 21 by the time our priority dates become current and tough to be on H-1B for 20-25 years. Of-course people may ask us to go back to our country but these guys getting Citizenship ahead of us makes my blood boil.

In this bill, they are increasing EB category GC's by 55,000 to 195K that's good. This bill along with RAISE act says that it will immediately cancel applications for millions of people who have waited years to become legal immigrants. Is it true for people who waited under EB categories?. Otherwise this bill seems very reasonable to me. Under RAISE act, many EB2I/EB3I who have waited for over a decade is close to 40 and lose lots of points on age. For them this bill sounds reasonable.

Yes, we Desis are only online warriors. Look at Mexicans, they are on street demanding DACA. Democrats are fighting for them and are ready to shutdown their own government.

Topic: Traffic Misdemeanor DS-160

I got 2 traffic tickets. One for speeding and another for red light violation both of them within 6 months in 2014 paid fine and took traffic class and cases disposed. Didn't any any issues while Visa stamping or at PoE(twice). DS-160 clearly asks are you convicted for any offence other than traffic violations. Unless it is DUI or Hit and Run Then why worry?.
