Topic: Global Entry

below are the answers

Did they keep your passport for a few days - I am assuming that they return it on the spot after the interview- right?---ofcourse they return it to you on the spot, but make sure you take all the passports with you including expired passports if any.
- How many days after your interview did the police officer come for verification? I suppose, one doesn't have to be physically present for that verification- as long as someone on that address can verify it for you. ...i think i read that the candidate may or may not be present on website but in reatlty you have to be present ,that will make the verification by police officer easy..not sure what happens if the candidate is not present..and it was app scheduled with in 10days after PSK interview
- How are you tracking progress of you application after all your part was done? using your GEP login

hope this helps

I had it done in HYD,
I had fingerprints, pic taken ,make sure to take all originals for verification for the documents you have submitted online.

Once done Police officer will come to your home for address verification.

then your part is considered done.

they willl communicate the results to the US authorities and then you can schedule a interview in USA after receiving the update,

It has been 2 months i completed all this process and i am waiting for the next update since then...:(

Topic: H4 VISA travel while H1B transfer is in progress (non-premium)

not exactly same but I was in similar situation.
My husband was working for employer A and I had a valid h4 visa stamping until aug 2018 based on it.
I was recently in India and while I was in India my husband got another offer from employer B and he initiated h1 transfer,he also got his receipt notice before my return.
I returned to USA on aug 17 without any issues based on my valid visa stamping.

We applied for h4 transfer after my return
Since you already applied for h4 transfer I am assuming you did it when she was in USA
hope this helps..

I reached out to them in regards to similar situation for my husband.
He had spell mistake in his name and different place of birth and wrong date of birth.
I asked them for a quote and they quoted exorbitant price, but i saw in the comments they deliver as per their promised date.
If you have no other option you can go with them

may be you are right..but what would you do to hide your(our) brown skin??this is first cause making us vulnerable and stand out.
a mad racist wouldn't check if you are wearing branded clothes or contributing to their economy or driving Audi car..
shoot and run..that is what we are seeing in cases from past few weeks

that is why i said I prefer to move canada,at least we will be alive.

but then again it is all about your personal and family preferences

genuine career has nothing to do with racism which is on raise since recent past.
Agreed that it did exist in past too but certainly increased many fold now.
they don't need to look at your "degree" or "employer" to take a aim at you

environment is changing in USA
not safe anymore as it used to be.Not sure how the economy would be in future, might hit a recession too.
In such situation you are lucky to have a backup in the form of Canadian PR

If I were you,I would move to canada without second thought and comeback to USA if the situation gets better in coming 3-4 yrs.
Your PD anyways stays with you

looks like it is contradicting
if you gain points for masters and age then you loose points for # of years of employment and vice versa
donno how it will work
btw do you guys think by masters they meant "US masters" or foreign masters will work as well??

Topic: Confused about the Principle Applicant and Petitioner name

hello,

i am trying to schedule a h4 visa appointment .
i understand based on above responses the petetioner should be my spouse(principal applicants)employer.

i have a question here

my husband visa was valid until 2019 initially and my h4 also was valid until 2019 , then it was amended, then they have given the validity until 2018.so which dates do i fill in now for the start and end dates? is it the most recent one or the one that was initially valid for 2019?

please somebody help
