Thanks for your response. Do we get a USPS tracking number from USCIS?

No, but it comes via PRIORITY mail.

Hello All,

How many days does it take to receive EAD card after status changes to card was mailed? Online status says card was mailed on 7th Feb. Got approval notice by mail last week but nothing post that. Does USCiS share the tracking number?

RD: 10/2/17 NSC

Thanks!!

It should be in your mailbox within 3 working days after it gets mailed out.

OK! You are saying fill the form. What form? In the I-864 form is a big form and there is option Joint sponsor, filing for any relative. I don't see any option for me.

I think it is more appropriate to ask these questions to the lawyer that is working on your case.

And then maybe you can share that feedback with folks here on Trackitt.

Good Luck.

Topic: Filing Instructions

Hi All,

Can you please help me in filling new I-485 form on Page 3.

I am principle applicant and filing under employment based category.
What immigrant category should I select for my spouse ?
If I choose EB for my spouse, should I select I-140 ?

Here is new I-485 form.

I don't know the interview date yet, but in USCIS web site I can see the status changed and written there, your case is to be scheduled for an interview and they will send me notice.how many days it will take for the physical nitice?

That is the step before it gets scheduled. Some cases directly get scheduled and some go through 2 steps - ready to be scheduled and scheduled.

For "ready to be scheduled", you will not receive a notice by mail.

Typically, once it is ready to be scheduled, they will schedule it within a week depending on how busy your local field office is.

Good Luck.

Can someone suggest? I am still waiting for my I-140, if i raise SR for 485, can i expect any movement to my case? You may refer my case history in tracker.

Without 140 approval nothing will happen on 485. Do not waste your time.

The only benefit of concurrent filling is that you get EAD/AP, which you got in 90 days.

I have read quite a few posts about Tax documents during interviews? How many years of Tax returns do we need? I don't think my lawyer ever asked for tax returns to be filed.

Typically, 3 years of tax returns are good enough.

It is NBC for sure if it is the first time that your cases were transferred, but you 'll get the transfer notice letter within 7 days in your mail stating which office your cases were transferred to.

Most probably but not necessary that is it NBC.

All 485 will eventually go to NBC and then to local field office. However, there are cases here when the package was filed at TSC. Was then sent to NSC and then to NBC.

Of course, the transfer notice will tell you. Good Luck.

Congrats!! What is the status online? Did you get email and text alerts as well?

For Primary, 765 is showing "Card Being Produced" and 131 is showing "Case Approved".

For Dependent, we already received the combo card but the 131 status is still showing "Case was Received".

The Primary also got EAD/AP approved today. Dependent was approved on 9th Jan 2018.

Now the wait for Interview Notice.

Every case will go to NBC to be then sent to the field office.

EAD/AP and Transfer to NBC do not have to follow a specific sequence.

Topic: EB1B profile review

I do not know them that well. We got profile reviewed by these guys in 2012. They said it was weak (and it was).

Going back to donsaber's comment, this is exactly what I mentioned earlier. You will have lawyers trying to get you to attach 10 recommendations from heavy hitter. What happens ? You used all your options and have no one left to support if there are follow up RFEs. Plus, the USCIS reviewer will compare you to these heavy hitters, and of course, you look like you are a nobody.

If you can, switch to Victoria. You can not go wrong with her. She is a mean machine who will get the job done and takes care of the smallest detail. E.g. she had told NSC EB1 filers to not go PP since there were a lot of day 14 RFEs coming out.

Her stats are mind blowing ..... the best 5K you will ever spend. Either way, good luck.

Just as note from what I noticed ...... your own boss's recommendation does not have a lot of impact unless he/she got the Nobel Prize.

Also, remember you need to keep some backup fire power for recommendations in case they come back with an RFE ..... food for thought.

Good Luck.

Try going with Victoria Chen since you are going with external lawyer. Or at least get free review. She knows better than USCIS whether case will get approved :) .......... agree that less than 100 citations may be an issue.

If you are filing NSC, do not file PP. Victoria was recommending this in 2017 since a lot of EB1 PP cases in NSC got RFEs.
