this country is planning to give a million illegals GC just because they have spent this childhood in this country. but you have to remember all people in eb back logs have children too and they all are legal and there fate in hanging on this small peanut. if dreamers can get 1 million gc then why not hard working, tax paying, law abiding legal immigrants??
what in the world are we asking? just to remove per country quota even with that the wait times will be 5-6 years. do you even understand how it is to wait for such long times for what you deserve

Because illegals rally, organize and fight for their rights and spend money.

Backlogged people spend 30 mins on the fourms and have no time to meet the lawmakers.Forget about asking to spend a dime.

Please go ahead and give us the case number once done. Let's see. My bet is you're another keyboard tiger.

Who else is helping high skilled if not IV? Rahul Reddy? Trump? USCIS? AILA? Lawyers?

Topic: SUE IV

Guys, no matter what happens, its our moral and fundamental responsibility to remove all pesticides and viruses from our midst. Specially, the wolves in sheep's clothing. IV has over and over again demonstrated that they will stop at nothing and readily willing to back-stab the Indian community for donations and personal glory. This is a morally corrupt organization, salivating over the misfortune of helpless visa holders. They need to go. They clearly attempted a coordinated attempt to spread fear at a large scale using fake news and failed. This has caused significant anguish and financial loss to several parties. We should SUE.

People who don't donate 25 dollars to IV won't spend money or effort to sue anyone. If it takes 15 dollars for the case form and a drive to the court where parking fee is 7 dollars, no one would go and spend 22 dollars from their pocket to sue anyone.

Trackitt has become a place for trolls/keyboard tigers.

This is why IV sucks - many of their "core team" members have listed themselves as a non-paid volunteers for 20-40 hours per week. It is a round table where each member lists himself as volunteering 20-40 hours/week in a particular year. All this while they still do their full time jobs/business. This is a major tax break for these scammers.

Their favorite past time - meet with congressmen and pose for photos. The guys now use these contacts to further their personal cause. You and I and the millions in line, are no where in the picture.

For HR 392, there were 100 co-sponsors in just 2 months (Jan/Feb 2017). None of this was IV effort. They simply reviewed the Top 10 most viewed bills on Congress.gov and decided to jump on the already hot HR392 bandwagon. IV did a brilliant job marketing themselves as the sole reason for HR392, NOT. They also review who is already going to support HR392 and get an appointment date with the congressman for a photo - thats it.

you're an idiot.

I was able to find IV's tax form (2014). Interesting to know they had collected $910K in 5 years (2010-2014). Also interesting is how 3 executives work 40 hours per week for IV...!!!

why don't you focus on how many advocacy days they have run; how many days they have spent away from family running around DC.

Are you looking for something unusual?

Dear friends,

I have Indian Passport. I live in USA. I have valid greencard (permanent resident card) issued by USA government. Do I need Mexico visa to travel to Cancun for 1 week vacation?

My father has Indian Passport. He has valid USA visitor visa. He is in USA with me. He wants to travel to Cancun with me for 1 week vacation. Does he need Mexico visa for this? Please let me know.

If anyone has similar situation and know the info, please reply. thank you.

USA GC Holder = no visa for MX
USA Valid visa Stamp = no visa for MX

USA EAD = Visa required for MX
Present in USA but no visa stamp = Visa required for MX

Can anyone share your experience, if you came back to USA either from Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, London airports with your Advance Parole Document.

I am planning to travel in December and this routes gives me cheapest price options.

Really appreciate your response.

I mainly travel via Amsterdam; no issues at all. I'm on EAD/AP, no H1 etc

I think you need transit via if you're on EAD for France/Germany (PLEASE CONFIRM) if I recollect.

For UK, I have a visa, so don't know about any issues on EAD travel via UK.

What is the customs letter??
Do you mean the receipt notices for the I485?
I plan on traveling with the combo card and receipt notices for I485 that shows my husbands adjustment of status is still pending

It's the form that you get in the plane to fill out (it's ONE per family). It's the entry form (sorry the word "letter" was wrong). I hand over my passport, Combo EAD card and the Customs/Entry form to the officer at PoE.

He then takes the 4 finger biometrics and pic and then I'm escorted to secondary inspection. They give my passport/card/customs form to the escorting officer (not me). I get my passport/EAD card back and they keep the customs form once I'm done. This weekend it just took me 5 mins, not too many people for a change in secondary inspection.

My GC was approved months ago but my dependent is still pending. We plan on traveling overseas next week. I will return with the GC and my husband will return under EAD/AP for the first time. What can we expect? Do they ask a lot of questions? Are there any other documents other than the combo card that we should bring? Maybe I485 receipt notice???? please advise

Combo card (if you have paper AP, carry BOTH pages, not one)
485 receipt notice
Passport

One of you already has a GC, it should be a cakewalk. Just say you're adjusting status and one of your's approval is still pending. Sometimes they ask - do you have tobbaco or alcohol so that's a simple one.

One new thing from last week - they take the customs letter in the EAD room itself, that was a new one for me. Please come and report back once you come back.

I see lots of response with different opinion which sometime can be confusing.

Please remember, as per guidelines 'AP' should be used only in case of emergency and not for "vacation" purposes. If you are asked, tell them that you had to take care of a family member and also be prepared to answer any specific question related to family member which sometime an officer can ask (depends upon your initial response).

Again NEVER say for "vacation" while entering via 'AP'.

Hope this helps!!

Kumara41- Is there any official memo/post you can share in this regard? I went for a week vacation with family and entered with AP and again no problem. When the lawyer fills the AP form - he mentioned - multiple trips for personal and business reasons.

Why can't we use AP for vacation. Again, I know people (and myself) who have used it. Also, for work related travel I have used it 15 times in less than two years. Every time at PoE, I go to the secondary inspection and they put my file in the "soft" inbox.

I'm just trying to understand why people are scared to travel on AP when there is no rule or precedent. Has someone been penalized/deported that you know or have heard of who used AP for vacation?

Anything is possible you bully bastard. You maybe deported as much as I. Fucking ass-ole if you didn't have a bad experience does not mean everyone will come out clean. It does not matter what you say mother fucker. What matters is how the POE officer thinks of you. This forum is to share all your experiences regardless of how they were. Can I fuck your wife and sister?

PoE officers are trained to sniff people like you. Most likely you say silly stuff at PoE and appear disheveled and you're flagged right away. Stay scared online keyboard tiger (who will piss at PoE LOL ROFL). c ya!!!

You will know what I am talking about once you return. You are answerable to the POE officer about your whereabouts. You can be deported and denied entry if you don't cooperate with them. You must be living under rocks dude to think AP gives you a right to re-enter. If you have not been stopped does not mean others will have the same treatment. I was stopped and I was asked what i was doing outside the country for more than 3 months. Have a valid explanation and also documentation if further proof is needed, people like you take immigration too easy and then ill advise others on how well to be prepared. Go wash your face with cold water and wake up man.

If you say silly things and look suspect, of course they're flag you. Like I said, I travel a lot internationally and never faced an issue and multiple PoE.

Maybe some people just like to be scared and apprehensive all the time and want others to do the same. Maybe you'll be the first person ever with valid AP to be deported who knows...LOL.

Thank you smugtech.

We have EAD card and mentioned as "Serves as I-512 Advanced parole". This is the only Advance parole document right?

Yes, that's the combo card (some have the EAD card and AP paper separate). You're lucky you have the combo card.

I carry these 3 docs and have traveled overseas 15 times - Passport, Valid EAD/AP Combo Card, I-485 Receipt to show I'm adjusting status. That's it.

At PoE - hand the officer passport/EAD+AP Card/Customs letter together. If he asks the "purpose" of visit - say I'm adjusting status (that's it). I'm all of my trips no one has ever asked me for my I-485.

don't say I applied for Green Card, I work for abc, I went home to my cousin's marriage....just say I'm back from vacation and adjusting status.....they know what that means. don't confuse them with unnecessary stuff.

Be prepared to explain clearly upon arrival at the POE the reason for 3 months absence from the country. I was asked and I told them I had to care for family. Sometimes if you are not lucky things can backfire like delayed entry into the country and although I have not heard of deportations, better be prepared. Drumpf has given carte blanche to the POE officers.

Don't scare people for no reason. I travel for work on EAD/AP all the time.

you don't need to explain why you were out of country or what you were doing. Just make sure you have a valid AP when you leave the country which should also be valid when you come back (if you have paper AP, make sure you carry BOTH forms).

At PoE say, I'm adjusting status and was on vacation in India. Simple. Nothing more, nothing less.

Nobody can deport a person with valid AP. Not even trump; there are courts for a reason. People should be not scared for no apparent reasons.

Topic: 15days ago Job cut announcement and today received RFE for EVL

Received an RFE for a EVL.
The employer also announced a job cut 2-weeks ago, including my role. The separation date is 30 days from today.

Can they still gonna provide a good EVL? Or they will say the job is eliminated?
What are my options?

Thanks

Request for EVL via the normal procedure in your company. People who know who are being laid off vs who gives the employment letter might be different. don't mention anything of the separation, just request the EVL and submit asap.

If HR argues, say that EVL is "as of today" and you're an active employer as of today.

did you receive any RFE or NOID from USCIS for your AC21? if not, you should be fine! I've a similar profile as yours. I just returned from a 4 week vacation in India. I changed job in 2014. filed AC21 (not with supp J).

On top of that I traveled to Europe for work 6 times last year and had no issues even once with immigration. I've been travelling overseas on AP since 2012.

I didn't even file AC21 at all :)

Topic: Travelling back from India to USA on EAD / AP

I need help with my situation as I am planning to travel to india in next 2 weeks.

My priority date is Jan 2010 and I do have my EAD.

With my EAD I have changed my job in September 2015 and also I got my EAD renewed last year and my current EAD expires november 2018.

My wife EAD has also been renewed without any problem.

Does my travel will be effected by my change in the JOB using EAD/AP

PD Mar 2010 and I changed by employer some time back.

I travel internationally for work once a month and so far no issues. Going again this month as well. I have traveled 15 times to Europe/Asia/South America and no issues at PoE.

Why the heck are people scared to travel when they have a VALID AP....why why???? Do you know anyone who was denied entry with a valid AP when they live and work here in the US? Why this fear?
