Topic: What percentage of India's backlog is H1B dependent employees

Looks like coming immigration rules will be tough for H1B dependent employees - Any analysis how much of backlog is choked with H1B dependent employees ? If they stop H1b extension for H1B dependent employees - looks like it should clear the queue within a year for non H1B employees - thoughts ?

Topic: Merit Based& I140 approved

Could be you can only apply for point based GC application only if you have approved I-140 that's why there is no mention of I-140 in the proposal. Just a speculation!

Topic: Merit Based& I140 approved

After reading through the PDF looks like proposal is incomplete - what will happen to those have have I140 approved? starting new point based application for I140 doesn't sound appropriate. Could any one figure out from the PDF?

Topic: Global Entry for Indian Citizens

It does not say H1B holders are not eligible:
"If the applicant is not presently living in India, it is recommended that they apply for Global Entry prior to their next trip to India so that the appointment at the PSK/PSLK office can be completed during their visit."

Does it mean H1b stamping will not be required?
