Finally received my GC in hand. Took a decade to get here. Can't explain the feeling of deleting (a little wierd to say it i know but its liberating) immihelp, murthy.com, trackitt and dozen other bookmarks i had been using for the past 5-6 years. Already making plans for trips to Barbados and Mexico as well as starting a business of my own. You mind starts racing the minute H1B is in the past and realize no more stampings, transfers, extensions, rfes, what hundred docs to carry at port of entry. Also feel sad in a way and this will probably be my last post here give or take. Passing on the torch to others. Wishing best of luck to all others in the queue and hope you all get there soon.

How do you know it is mailed to lawyer? EAD/AP,I485 RFE came to my home address.
Thanks,
Rchennam

My EAD had gone to my Lawyer. And my lawyer told me the GC card would be mailed to him. Though I got the 485 approval at my place - since he got me EAD cards its why the GC is also headed his way. Not sure how TWO addresses work this way.

Looks liek my card is being mailed to my Lawyer not me. If no one is there to sign for it (should have arrived today or tomorrow) - does it get taken back to USPS or returned back to USCIS?

If your medical was done within the year then chances of getting RFE are low. But they could still ask for validity of yours authorized stay. If I were you - I would prepare for 1 RFE so there's no disappointment. The good news is that RFER & CPO are blazing through in TX. So if you are able to respond back quickly - you're looking at a 10-15 day delay at the most to getting the CPO.

hang in there. it took me 1.5 months to get the physical RFE - but after that things started moving at rapid speed. Texas being slow is a myth - the 10 days turnaround after RFER seems to be consistent.

Received the "We mailed your card to you" status update. Awaiting card delivery.
Oddly i am getting no texts or status update in the USCIS online case status tool after the "Producing Card". All the other updates are only available on the DHS website tool only. Would recommend everyone to register an account there if you want to lessen any confusion especially during these final stages

Hi,

This is the first status i got from USCIS website. I submitted RFE on Feb 23,201.PD Dec 03,2018.
Not sure how long does it take to receive card?

Thanks
Rchennam

should take anywhere between 3 and 5 days after receiving "approved your case". I suspect it should be any day now - I'm hoping to see "Card Mailed" status by tomorrow. others should be in the same ballpark

Topic: AP Travel on Delta Airlines via Amsterdam

Agreed. This was posted in one of the forums. I'm just saying, before one travels - one should look at the LATEST consulate website JIC things have changed. Indians are not affected but with the current Migrant Crisis - things could change very suddenly. The absolute WORST thing that can happen during a 22 hour transit is being turned back. since changes during the last 5-10 hours are obviously out of our control - at the very least looking at the last months changes is wise.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for contacting the Netherlands Information Desk.
Please find more information on Airport Transit Visas (ATV) on our website: http://dc.the-netherlands.org/services/consular....
A holder of a valid Indian passport does not need an airport transit visa for transit in Amsterdam.

However, please make sure that:
- Your ticket is confirmed (if you have a stand-by ticket, please check with your airline for their rules and regulations!)

- You stay in the international transit zone (DO NOT go through customs and immigration)

- Your luggage is checked through to the final destination.

- Your stopover in the Netherlands is the only one in the Schengen territory (meaning there is no flight to a second Schengen country before you travel to your final destination)

If you are leaving the International transit zone and are going through customs, you will need to apply for a Schengen visa: http://dc.the-netherlands.org/services/consular....
An appointment is required in order to apply for a passport or visa (except at the Consulate-General in New York). You can schedule this appointment on www.dutchappointments.com.

Please contact us if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Netherlands Information Desk (NID) for the Dutch Diplomatic Missions in North America.

Topic: AP Travel on Delta Airlines via Amsterdam

I took KLM via Amsterdam. No questions. Process was smooth.
Most of the checks are done by the airport authorities. Airlines only do cursory checks IMO.

that is NOT true. you can cause a lot of problems for people with a sweeping statement like that. to the OP : AP is not a document that is standardly recognized across Europe. Some people have gone though smoothly but others have been stopped from boarding. You MUST check with the airlines directly and/or the country's consulate US website where they SOMETIMES list AP as an exception. The simplest way is to have a transit visa regardless.
