My Maxout date is February 28, 2018 and PD is August 14, 2017. No update yet. Not sure what is going to happen, so already started preparing to move. Gave notice to the apartment. Hoping for the best. It is a bit of financial burden though. Luckily no kids. :) Stopping watching the DOL and other sites. Will update if I get any update.

Good Luck - I am in the same boat ! Not sure how it will exactly work.

Are you planning to move out of the country ? work from there ?

I suppose once perm approval is complete, i140 & H1B renewal will be filed when youre outside the country ?and then will be need stamping with new H1B in India ?

There is no other go than moving out of the country. I am not sure what my employer decides. My employer is working with the attorney on how to proceed If I do not get the PERM sooner than later. They have agreed to file the I140 with premium if I get the PERM soon. Anyways already started looking for a job in my home country :). Things happen for good.

If you change your job in home country before PERM/i140/H1 , wouldn't you lose all the time you spent on this process ?

That is true.. but all depends on the employer. They do not have the clear direction on what to do with my case.

I'm also in the same boat but with changes.

Maxout date - Feb 19th, 2018
PD - Aug 11th, 2017

Already out of the country and presently in my home country (working remote... thanks to my client who allowed me to work from here)... had to leave US because my H1B transfer petition got denied and I-94 date was also expired.

Really not sure why my case is not yet picked. Hopefully it will approved soon.

Spoke to employer... agreed to put I-140 & H1B extension petition in Premium processing... let's see how it goes in coming days!

Just an advise you cannot be working remote (out of US) and getting paid in USD , lot of of Tax implications. not sure how is your employer billing to your client and what Tax jurisdiction you will taxed.
one of my fried had same issue and later he faced some difficulty , this might cause anything for your future VISA. This is my personal advise and i'm not an expert on this matter .
I'm also on the same situation and will be leaving the country by this month and my PERM is filed in the month of Sept 2017.
Good luck to you and hope our PERM and I-40 get approved sooner. Thanks

Hello,

Can some one tell me when should I decide about going out of country?

MY PERM was filed on August 30th (A-17236-XXXXX)
H1B Maxout Date: April 18 2018

Still awaiting approval and nervous. Do I have enough time if I get my PERM approved by end of Jan to file I-140 and H1 Extension?

Pls make sure to file your i140 in premium processing. I don’t think you will have any issue if your PERM gets approved by Jan to Feb’18

My PERM was filed on 08/03/2017 (A-17201-XXXXX)
It was certified on 01/05/2018.

It took approximately 5 months and 5 days (155 days exactly).
Eager to get paper hardcopy to file I-140 and I-485.
Good luck everyone!
