How come you didn’t follow up with your employer. I believe then your dependent status becomes invalid. Ideally dependent should have left US before I-94 is expired or they should have valid receipt notice after filing h4 extension. Check with your employer for next steps.

Hey, Same thing happened for my dependent approval notice as well. Approval valid till 31-dec-2017 while approval notice date is 18-APR-2018. I am still waiting for my approval notice. Just informed the employer about this. Totally unsure what to do now or next course of action.

This behavior from USCIS is pathetic buddy. I could understand your frustration level at this time.

I applied on 5/22/17, upgraded to Premium 3/16/18, got RFE on 3/27/18 responded to RFE last week and waiting for the response. I have rescheduled my wife's travel twice so far because of the delay in USCIS decision. At this time If I also get the end date as 12/31/2017 like you, I would be furious and nothing else can be done except appealing. They are acting like a monarchy! I wish something huge happens in the economy to bring these people back to ground.

if this people come back to ground. imagine your situation.. if you think you can survive that situation you would have never given value to this visa. because you will be in that situation if you go back lol...

to Batmanforever:

Nobody is here to survive, everyone is here to make more money and a lavish life. That is the fact.
I'm frustrated because of their attitude and the delay they cause to give us a decision. All I expect is a decision(approval/rfe/denial) and end this misery. At the least I expect a systemic approach for processing the application. Everybody pays for the application fee, why do they put the May application pending when they process October applications.
A basic human behavior expects fair and equal treatment when the service is paid for.

to vinoac:

Agreed. Fair enough if you are talking about USCIS department and not the whole country. USCIS decision making and delay is bad sometimes. Sorry for your situation. Wish you good luck.
