now its updated till Oct 31 2016 from earlier sept 30... and cases h1b updated to April 19 from earlier march 16

so it seems with each month update they are processing cases for each month.... so it seems i can expect June results very soon in January... because already assuming November 30th will move it to May 19 and Then December 31th move to June 5th (as some holidays in decemeber) and then till 15th January it may move to June 15th...

What do u think guys?

my amendment is still pending from 7 months... what to do.. need to file extension also now...

why is uscis site processing times not updated after sept 30 2016... any one has any idea of history of time updates by USCIS ...when do they update ... If Sept 30 update is showing March 16 cases... then can we say they will process june cases in december or january as it already 3 months old update...

My H1b expires sep 2017 and due to company relocation i am moving to a different location around FEB. Can we file both amendment and extension in FEB 2017 prior to my 6 month expiration.

to sandykp:

Yes you can... so if you are moving to new location within that 6 month expiration of your i94/visa then yes you can file extension and amendment together.... please check with others also..

according to my company's immi team... we cannot file amendment+extension if it is more than 6 months.. better consult your attorney or company's team..

was it CSC or VSC or which centre?

i thought amendment does not make any difference for job switch... so ask your new employer to file transfer in premium and if it is approved then only resign and join them to be safe... just my opinion

Processing times updated today:

I-129 Petition for A Nonimmigrant Worker H-1B - Specialty occupation - Visa to be issued abroad May 16, 2016
I-129 Petition for A Nonimmigrant Worker H-1B - Specialty occupation - Change of status in the U.S. May 16, 2016
I-129 Petition for A Nonimmigrant Worker H-1B - Specialty occupation - Extension of stay in the U.S. May 16, 2016

Field Office Processing Dates for California Service Center as of: November 30, 2016

Seems progressing 1 month with each month... So December perhaps would have moved it to June already..
Mine amendment was also filed in June..
Do you guys think it is applicable for Amendments also.. although it says Abroad, Change and extension but I guess it should be all h1b cases

My H1B visa was stamped for Madison, WI but I traveled to Appelton, WI and my employer has files an amendment for that. After 3 months I moved to some other place and my employer again filed an amendment (bother are normal processing). Problem is I received an RFE for the First Amendment and to response that I need Client Letter; my previous employer will not provide client letter as I moved from there.
Can my employer has an option to withdraw the first amendment in place of replying the RFE?
Can I ask my employer to move my second amendment to Premium processing?
If my second amendment is approved then first amendment's RFE will become void?
Do I have other option?
My Visa is valid till March, 2018, by what time I can stay in USA?
Any other suggestion?
Please help.

Congrats..
So it took 10 months for you.. I thought March 16 was shown already in Sept 2016 for the processing times..

so your case tells me not to believe USCIS processing times...

You mean last month Dec 2016...
If it is normal mode then generally it is taking anywhere between 8-12months these days...
If it is premium mode then it will take max 15 days from filing date with USCIS

Hi,
Is it processed under normal category? Or have you converted it to premium?
My amendment was filed on Jan 29th 2016. Still in pending...

Hello,
I applied for my H1B amendment on Jan 22 2016 it was sent to California Center which is in pending status yet.
Based on many posts in this thread it's taking at least 12 - 18 months for them to get approved.
(this is only for California Center)

Please post your statuses, so that everyone will know where does our case stand. Thank You

I saw that last month in different Trackitt threads and it's likely true because one of my friend got approved after 16th month. My case is still processing and is in 13th month. This is only for California Service Center somehow things are going little than expected from this center.
