Hello Everyone,

My I-131 Advance Parole has been approved and have not received approval notice yet. Here is the time line
Receipt Dt: June 13 2017 Texas Service Center
Approval Dt: Aug 29 2017
Service request opened Dt: Oct 10 2017
Service request response Dt: Oct 27 2017 and Response says "Since the date of USCIS's last action, your file has been transferred to a USCIS storage facility or records center. We will need additional time to request your file from that office. Please allow up-to 60 days for receipt and review of the file. We will notify when we have received and reviewed the file"

Does anyone know how much time does it take after this kind of response? I have booked our flight tickets in December, so what are my chances of getting approval notice sooner?Anyone faced this kind of situation?

Please respond.

Thanks

Hi jShawn,

I am in a similar situation. AP was approved on Oct 2 2017 but did not receive the approval notice or the AP document.
Raised service request and have been asked to allow 60 days for processing.
I have an upcoming travel plan which is not considered an emergency.
Did you have any luck with the local office?
How did you get your AP document?
Please suggest.

Thanks.

Hi
I am on the same board. Our EAD/AP approved simultaneously but only EAD card received but it does not have AP approval. We raised SR and got generic response that it will take 60 days to review why approval notice was undelivered. Again review for an undelivered approval notice for an approved case? very wired!!! Now we have nothing to do but wait.
Thanks

Hi,

My AP(131) approval notice (797-notice of action) received on Dec 6th, but my actual travel document with photo is not received yet.

My wife got 797 - notice of action for i-131 on Dec 15th and travel document with photo received on 18th Dec.

My daughter AP/EAD application submitted on Sep 15th but no updates.

there is no approval pattern followed, its all case by case

got my EAD in Nov2017, but AP has not received.
Raised SR, looks like they mailed it to me but it got lost in POST OFFICE!!!as nothing has been reuturned to USCIS.
I called them to get the tracking number but customer service was down, so they are gonna call me in 2 or 3 days.
Will keep you posted

regarding my AP approval document, I called USCIS couple of week about it to raise SR, they sent a letter today and said they mailed document 3 weeks back, they did not get document back from USPS, they asked me to check with USPS.

Lot of people reporting that AP document not received even after 1 month, there is something going on.

dont know what to do.

I have the same issue as well - EAD card without AP notice. I am waiting for the date mentioned in the EAD approval notice to pass before raising the SR.

Me, too. Got the "courtesy copy" of the AP approval in the mail, but no travel document yet. Lawyers said to contact them if I don't have it by January 19.

Just got a call from USCIS, they told me it got mailed, if you haven't received it it means it got lost. They didn;t give me tracking number to follow up with USPS. She said just cards have tracking number since travel doc is document so there is no tracking number!!!
She said if I want it I have to re apply with all fees and waiting process!!! so ridiculous

to NilBe:

Your EAD is generally a combo card that serves both as the EAD and the AP approval. Can you check your EAD card and see if you see this at the bottom of the card (right below the card expiration date)?

"SERVES AS I-512 ADVANCE PAROLE"

If you do see this, then this is your EAD and AP combo card. If you don't, then that's when you talk to an officer.

PS: If you already know this, sorry for wasting your time.

Yes I checked, Just in the bottom of the EAD, it said "Not valid for Re entry to US". And it doesnt't have "SERVES AS I-512 ADVANCE PAROLE" :(. I am just waiting for interview to get the real green card. Otherwise, I have to re apply and wait for 3 to 4 months to get approved and also pay $575 for fee, which doesn't worth, sucks!!!

This is total baloney!! We have to reapply because they cant send a copy of the document for an approved case?? I believe that the EAD and AP cases are handled separately and the system has glitches in keeping them in sync. My EAD approval notice says that my AP is also approved and I will get the I-766 card with the I-512 remark. However, the card did not have the AP.

I did not get the AP document for a month. So, I raised an online SR (Document not received). The online status shows that the response to my request was mailed to me yesterday and the request was closed. I will know more when I get the response to my query and I will update the forum.

My lawyer asked me to report to them if I had not received the document by Friday, January 19. I told them I did not have it. They reached out to USCIS, and this was the useless response:

"We spoke with a USCIS customer service representative today and she informed us that we should allow an additional 2-3 weeks for receipt of the AP document. Please let us know if you do not receive the document within the next 3 weeks. We have set a reminder to follow up with USCIS at the 3 week mark."

I have opened a SR under the "I did not receive my document" category.

Application Type: EAD & AP Renewal (4th Renewal)
Based on: Pending I-485 (EB2)
Service center: TSC
Electronic Acceptance Email Received On: 13-Nov-2017
Electronic Approval Email Received On: 9-Jan-2018 (Validity for 1 year)
Electronic Shipment Email Received On: 11-Jan-2018
Actual Card Received on: 17-Jan-2018

Though I got approval notice for both EAD and AP application, the card i received says "NOT VALID FOR REENTRY TO U.S.".
My EAD approval notice clearly says " will serve as I-512....".

I called USCIS and opened a SR for not receiving AP document or combo card. Ideally, i should have received either of the below considering that I received approval for both my applications I-765 and I-131. However, I just received separate EAD without AP endorsement.

1. Combo card or
2. Separate EAD card and separate AP document

As per the SR, they asked me to wait 15 business days. Let's see what happens.

Note: No updates for dependent applications though.

I got response from USCIS for my "I did not receive my document" SR. The letter says - further research is required for this issue; wait another 60 days to get a response.

Useless information.

Any news on your AP? I’m still waiting for mine...

to AG1181:

Nope. It has been 30 days since the document was mailed but haven't received it.
When I called USCIS to report it, the agent asked to wait 5 more days.
Apparently there could be some delays with the winter storm.
