You will get a decision soon. What was the RFE all about?

to captain1:

They had three questions (and the documents they asked for were):

1. Ability to Pay (Tax Returns, W-2s, etc)
2. Bonafide Nature of Job (Job ads and resumes received during PERM and why they were rejected, company support letter, appointment letter, etc)
3. Company's Background information (Company website, current project reports, client(s) info., etc.)

The third one took most of the time as the company had to seek permission from the clients to provide them their data. :-I

its almost 8 months now, can i raise SR on my 140 case? or should i reach Employer or attorney for it.

I see that in below link says only applicant or Petitioner is allowed to do so.

For I-140, Only the employer or their attorney can raise an SR.
They will reject the SR if you try to raise it yourself.

My Lawyer filed a SR December 12, 2017 for my I-140. Date received was May 30th 2017. How long will it take for a response? Case is ROW.

If you are talking abou SR response , it usually takes around 15 days till your lawyer gets response. The best way to track SR status is to create USCIS account https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/disp... ( if you don't have any ) and add your i-140 case number in that account. If you click that case number , it will open the current status of your i-140 . And below it, you will see all the history by yourself, including your SR status almost real time. Like these :

On November dd,yyyy , your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SR***TSC, was completed.
On November dd,yyyy, we sent a response to your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SR***TSC
On November dd,yyyy, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SR***TSC
, was assigned to an officer for response.

Update:

My RFE response was received by USCIS on 12th of September, but no updates as of yet (Monday will mark 90 days). I called customer service yesterday and got through to tier 2, and they said they will contact the office and have them send an update by mail.

Need urgent help here.
My I140 and I485 are pending with USCIS with PD Dec 2016 and the EAD/AP renewal also pending with USCIS for last 3 months. Current EAD/AP valid till end of Jan 2018.
Visa is valid till End of Feb 2018 and can be extended only for 4 weeks as that makes my 7 year on L1A.

Now the problem is that my daughters I-94 is expiring in 3 weeks. Will she be out of status if I don't get the EAD/AP approval by then?
Post I-94 expiry will she automatically fall back on EAD/AP which is valid till Feb end 2018? Or do I need to submit some form to let USCIS abt it?

Please let me know if anyone here is in a similar situation.

Many thx in advance.

Now that I know this, here is my dilemma. Should I go for premium. I am interviewing for a promotion. So it is a job change within the same company. So you can change your job after 180 day clock. Is it 180 days after your I-140 is approved or I-485 pending? Also to apply the 180 day clock rule, the I-140 must be approved. If so. I am now on 171 days with I-485 with a pending I-140. What's your take?

I-140 RFE:- Experience letters from previous employers showing the breakdown of experience in each skill

I got this RFE on July 27th. My company lawyer asked me to email my previous employers requesting the employer letters in a particular format. If they don't respond, make couple more attempts. If they still don't respond, then we can send the email chain to USCIS showing that we made efforts to get the experience letters.

My lawyer sent the RFE response on Aug 31st. USCIS also updated the status saying 'RFE Response Received'. Since then, there has been no update on the status tracking website. It is close to 4 months now, and I am still waiting. My case is being handled by Texas Service Center.

Isn't there any deadline for USCIS to review the case after the RFE Response is received? Can anyone suggest how to follow-up with them to get an update? Is it safe to follow-up in the first place?

Hey Guys,

I am a longtime observer in this group.

I-140 RD is 6/16, yesterday first time status was updated on USCIS website.

Status is “Case Was Reopened For Reconsideration”. Not sure if it a glitch or something bad is going on with my case.

Your inputs are appreciated.

Thanks
