For me i am still not sure if i will be getting interview scheduled soon because i only received one update which was "Transferred to another office", nothing after that. Almost all people who got interview scheduled are those who got second update "Case Transferred and New Office has Jurisdication".

Any update for anyone from D.C./NV. It has been 50 days for me and no interview notice. This is too frustrating.

Hi,

I received by GC on Dec 28. I have updated tracker with details.

EB2 ROW/RD May11, 2017, Case moved to NBC Oct 18th, Interview scheduled on Nov 18th (around) for Dec 20th interview in DC (VA) office. Am DC based.

My lawyer was with me. Though it didnt add value as interview was simple (though I recommend to have the lawyer if you can). Interview was quite simple. Few relevant questions are : I was asked if I am working for same employer. I said yes and provided job confirmation letter from of employer (Though it was not asked, I had J form which was not asked and I didnt provide). I was asked about my F1, H1B visa copies, I was asked if I paid my taxes. I provided my tax copies though they were not asked. Then I was asked I485 form related questions ie If I was ever arrested etc..

Total time took was 20-25 minutes. At the end, I asked if officer can provide me any indication about my case . She replied that she will positively recommend my case. I received my green card on Dec 28th.

In the end, I will appreciate all of you to make this forum a true community work.I got lot of support from you guys. I will be stay around for couple of more days to answer any questions that you may have.

God Bless you all and happy new year! Cheers

Thanks for sharing your experience, I am wondering i485 questions Yes/No were right off the I485 Application? as you know i485 application was updated in August 2017, and has a lot more Yes/No questions than the previous version.

The reason I am asking is, in 2003 I was refused admission to US, though I entered through inspections later without issues, but since this question was not asked in the previous version of the I485 which I filled, and don't want to open a can of worms by saying yes/no during the interview.

Will greatly appreciate your help !

to qasim78:

So I filed I485 qin May 2017 so I am not sure, what is included in new form. But my interview questions were consistent with all other candidates, which were like..have you ever been arrested? Have you received military training? Are you member of any banned terrorist organisation? Have you ever received aid from US govt (medicare etc)? I dont remember if I was asked if I was ever denied US visa.

You may like to consult your lawyer about your specific question. But in most cases they will have the record of your visa denial anyway so its better to respond correctly if asked.

I find this interview mostly check box exercise. If your case reaches r=to this stage, I dont believe , it will be rejected if one answers questions on their merit.

PS: on a separate note, my online status never changed from case transferred to another office since October though I have received my gc. So do look for physical mail updates!

Hi All,

Just writing on experience quickly. Interviewer was nice and we enjoyed the experience.

Me and my wife were called separately.

First I was called. Here is the sequence.

1. Oath
2. Basic Information asked about my data.
3. 485 check list
4. Information asked about my wife and how we met and story
5. My job details, location and colleagues.
6. Future plans

Wife:

1. All about marriage and how we met
2. Marriage pics and ceremonies
3. About wife's data
4. 485 checklist

Once done, she was told "Congratulations"

Overall it was nice experience. Parking is available easily and total wait time was around 40 minute.
