Hi Folks,
My I-485 is pending based on EB3 with priority date of september 2004. In february of this year, my new EB2 got approved with the same company. For past six months, I have been trying to confirm from USCIS whether my interfile has been completed. Here's the different responses I have got so far.
Response on 03/14/2012:
USCIS records indicate all your cases have been consolidated together. Service records show your case is in line to be pulled by an officer to be worked. We ask that you allow additional time for this process to take place since we process these cases in the order received. If after 60 days, and you haven’t received anything in the mail, please contact us at the National Customer Service at the number provided below.
Response on 05/21/2012:
All of your receipt number cases have been consolidated into the permanent Afile number, as shown above.
Response on 08/22/2012:
All of your receipt number cases have been consolidated into your Afile number, as shown above.
Currently, there is no visa available under the 2ns preference category that your I-140 Petition for Alien Worker was approved; as such, until there is a visa available, your pending I-485 Application for Adjustment remains on hold.
I am confused whether the interfile is complete or not.
I am planning to change job in near future (before october). Do you folks think I can safely do that without hurting my GC progress (I have been on this queue for more than 8 years now)?

Did you see any change in your "Last Updated Date" of your I-485?
Also, have you tried taking Info Pass appointment and ask them if the inter-filing is complete or not?

to sequaliter:
Sounds to me like it is done.

This means that the interfile is done

My EB2 I-140 that was approved in June 2017 has my EB3 PD (Dec 2006) retained. However i am not sure of how to do the interfiling and if it is already taken care of..appreciate your help
