How soon to start working for future employer after getting GC

Company A – Current Employer
Company B – Future Employer/GC Sponsor/Petitioner

I received my future employer-sponsored green card from Company B in November 4th, 2016, however, I am still working for Company A and will only plan to start working for Petitioner Company B until the end of MARCH, 2017. This is WITH the consent of Company B, who did not anticipate the approval of my GC last year (2016).
Again, this process was for future employment. I am finishing a big project at my current employer Company A in the meantime and WILL eventually leave Company A and move to my new position with sponsoring Company B in March.

- Is this acceptable or should I start working immediately for company B?

My plans are to EVENTUALLY work for Company B and have already communicated my intentions of leaving to Company A and have all plans in place to move late in March, 2017, but I am not sure if these extra 5-months of working with Company A after receiving my GC may create any issues in the future when applying for citizenship. I should add that Company B has been surprisingly dormant with me moving before March.

Any expert advice will be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

I had discussion with attorney for another situation today (different from yours), but attorney advise is to join the "GC sponsoring employer" immediately after getting GC. if not , it will impact during naturalization. However There are lot of debates and forums discussing about the time period to stay with GC sponsoring employer.

i hope this helps.
